Jeff's bio... Jeff graduated from Kansas State University in December, 1997, with a dual major Bachelor of Science in Biology and Theatre. He took a brief stint with Shawnee Mission Medical Center in Radiology, followed by 5 years as a Lead Hazard Risk Assessor at the Kansas City, Mo., Health Department, working with lead poisoned children. He worked for 3 years as the Safety Project Manager for the Health Department, chairing the Safety Committee, with responsibility for training suite captains and developing evacation plans, as well as Health Literacy Project Manager, chairing the community based Health Literacy Task Force and designing, editing, and publishing The Healthy Reader, a health-themed monthly newspaper for kids. Jeff recently formally accepted the position of Public Information Officer for the Health Department, a position he'd acted in for the previous 7 months. His current job duties include acting as media liaison and spokesperson for the department and as PIO back-up and consultant for fifteen health departments in 13 area counties. On the side, Jeff has worked with numerous area theatres, including Shawnee Mission Theatre in the Park, Gorilla Theatre, Heather and Laurel Theatre, CinnamonEye Productions, Chestnut Fine Arts Center, Mind's Eye Theatre, Barn Players, Martin City Melodrama and Vaudeville Company, and other local educational theatres, at various locations including Alanz Theatre, Just Off Broadway Theatre, Westport Coffeehouse Theatre, Jewish Community Center, the Madrid, and Alcott Arts Center. He has also tapped at various locations including Disneyworld Orlando, the Uptown Theatre and Kansas City Music Hall. Jeff has also worked with film, performing in PSAs, training videos, film shorts and independent feature lengths with CinnamonEye Productions, Smith-Haines Productions, and others. Several PSAs he developed, edited and produced recently won national awards through a group known as NPHIC. Since graduating, he has performed in 34 theatrical productions running anywhere from a single weekend to 4 months and 3 tap competitions, he has participated backstage in more than 10 others ranging from Stage Crew to Production Assistant to Sound and lights, he has performed in 6 films, and he has filmed, edited and produced numerous training videos. Jeff currently shares his apartment with Theo, who has brightened his life for four years now that alternate personalities Zachary (the snob) and Stewie (the megalomaniacal destroyer of all things cloth) have fallen by the wayside, and with Heather, a close friend over the last two years. Being a rescue kitten, Theo is still a bit of a nibbler, and regardless of what he tries to tell Jeff when he gets home from work, Jeff knows he enjoys Heather's company (Theo acted the same way with Jabez, the black persian who used to live with them when Jeff and Theo shared an apartment with Jesse and Carlos).
