� Children�s Choir ---(throughout entire school year); all grade levels invited/encouraged to participate; Fun/Educational; under the direction of Mr. Antonio Miralles (past director of HROC adult choir); lessons during first 15 minutes of class (9:15-9:30 a.m.), first Sundays of each month (Oct. 3, Nov. 7, Dec. 5, Feb. 6, Mar. 6, Apr. 3). Other practices will be announced later.
First performance will be during Yolka on Dec.12th.
� IOCC School Kits ---(October 3-10); all grade levels; Charity project with IOCC and Church World Service; similar to Operation Shoebox---pack cloth bags (teachers will provide) with school supplies. Visit website for further details: www.iocc.org

� Social at Duda�s Pumpkin Farm ---(October 24); Fun social event open to ALL HROC parishioners; meet at church at 4:45 p.m.; we will leave promptly at 5:00 p.m.; please dress accordingly --bring light jacket; play in cornstalk maze, visit the petting zoo and country store; stay for hayrack ride and marshmallow roast, hot cocoa & smores.
� Operation Shoebox ---(November 7-14); all grades; Charity project for Samaritan's Purse Organization. Fill shoeboxes with toys, hygeine items, school supplies for needy children around the world. � Yolka (Christmas Pageant) ---(December 12); all grades; Fun event to be presented during coffee hour. Rehearsals on Sunday, Dec. 5th (during class) and Saturday, Dec. 11th.
� Decorating jars for Epiphany ---(January 9); grades K-5; Please have your child bring a small jar to class (baby food jars are perfect size).
� IOCC Health Kits ---(Feb. 6-13); all grade levels; Charity project with IOCC and Church World Service; similar to Operation Shoebox---pack ziploc bags (teachers will provide) with supplies for tsunami victims. Visit website for further details: www.iocc.org
� Valentines for Veterans ---(Jan. 30 - Feb 13); grades K-8; Charity project with the Veteran's Administration; Students make valentines during class with sentiments like, "We Care About You", or "Happy Valentine's Day to someone with a big heart..."; to be delivered on February 13th to local veterans at the University Veteran's Hospital. Meet during coffee hour after Liturgy on Feb. 13.
� Godparent Sunday ---(February 27); all grade levels; Social event; students are encouraged to invite their Godparents to a special "day", where they will spend time together in class, Liturgy, and a special brunch during coffee hour. Invitations will be sent out around Jan. 23.
� IOCC Lenten coin boxes ---(March 13-April 17); during Lent; Charity project with IOCC; all grade levels; teaches children importance of almsgiving.
� Making icons for Orthodoxy Sunday ---(March 30); all grades; Educational; students make their own "icons" during class, while learning about the meaning of Orthodoxy Sunday. Children participate in a procession with icons during Liturgy.
� Veneration of cross ---(April 3); all grades; Educational; students are taught about significance of veneration of cross, prayers and proper way to venerate, etc.
� Cards For Shut-Ins ---(April 10); grades K-8; Charity project for HROC parishioners designated as "Shut-Ins". Good Lenten activity for students.
� Easter-egg hunt on Pascha ---(May 1); grades K-6 (older grade level encouraged to "help" younger children); open to ALL children present in church on Pascha(including toddlers); hunt will start immediately following Liturgy.
� Bible Bowl ---Spring, 2005 (date pending); grades 3-12; during HROC Youth Group's soup luncheon. Prizes to be announced.
