We are situated in a quiet rural Lincolnshire village and have been breeding a variety of birds both British and Canaries for many years.
We currently have stock for sale including: Red Factors Glousters Norwich and Lizard Canaries.
All our birds are bred with tender loving care and have the usage of both indoor and outdoor flights. It has become a real family hobby over the years and both the children are involved in the care of all our birds.
We have left the British bird aviary empty for the last few years whilst we waited for the natural habitat to grow enabling the birds to have as near a natural home as possible, and hope next year to successfully breed a variety of Finches/Redpols/Siskins and Linnets.
This year we ventured in the Budgie family and hope to have a few to sell next year ,so we have included a picture on the home page.
I make it a habit of bringing our birds into the indoor aviary over the very cold winter months where a lot of time is spent sitting in a comfy chair getting to know them and enabling them to become used to my presence which makes ringing a lot less stressful for both the birds and myself.
In the summer months a lot of family time is spent on long walks collecting wild food for the birds which is frozen over the summer enabling the birds to eat the food over the winter months when it isn't available. We are very lucky in the fact that we live in such a bird friendly area that provides a wide and varied diet for all. As we also keep cats all our birds are very used to them and show no fear and this also keeps away any rodents.
