Fate : ? by Grognard (4/9/2001)
As Seive ducked out of the way and Ventor cried out his Meteors at me, I quickly Grabed my Shield and Braced myself for the impact, Recovering from the Swarm i laughed sardonically as i dropped the shield now battered from the attack. "I did not think a Guardian was capable of such an act, and pray tell who where you just protecting now from myself, if anyone" "if I was planning to hurt yourself or Sharp it would have already been done, but since you seem to be in a fighting mood, perhaps we should continue." It was obvious that Ventor was still stunned from the act he had just commited.
Fate : A Stand Off... by Sharp (4/9/2001)
Sharp, gasping in sheer shock, let her gaze fall from Grognard to Ventor. Ventor looked stunned at his actions, shaking his head in disbelief. Sharp tried to make sense of Ventor's unusual display. "Perhaps there is a dark side to Ventor that I was not aware of. Maybe a part of him too belongs to Nisstyre." Watching Ventor, but moving closer to Seive, Sharp strategically transferred herself into the space between Grognard and Seive. Now, scrutinizing Grognard, she had successfully made a barrier between them.

"Step aside Lady Sharp, allow me to dispatch Sorannon, he does look vulnerable in his garb today." Grognard drooled in bloodlust as he eyed the smirking Seive. "Grognard, there will be no bloodshed here today. Please honour our respective clan's loose alliance and leave. I shall not harm you, but if you chose to harm Seive, then you must decide to injure me first. The choice is yours." Standing, arms at her sides, infront of Seive, Sharp was loathe to take a punt on what Grognard would do next. Her clan's reputation and glory was foremost in her mind. Maintaining her word, she would not initiate an attack on a DHPK member. But none the less, her admiration for Seive grew by the second.

Slowly shaking himself harshly into reality, Ventor observed the scene from a safe distance. Seeing Sharp act in this manner sparked a sense of pride in his chest. And again he cursed himself for finding himself vulnerable to a world he so detested, that he actively avoided in the past.
Fate : Resolution by Seive (4/9/2001)
Seive stood tall, his cloak billowing in the breeze, thinking quickly.
Sharp had provided a small amount of time to think of a way to get him out of this.
Grognard was obviously out for blood this time. Seive couldn't blame him at all. His former clan of merchant had always been on the lookout to get a bit of payback.
If Grognard decided to attack, Sharp wouldn't last long at all, not in these close quarters. Seive suddenly wished he had chosen to remain smart instead of dressing himself up like a doll. There was only one way Seive could see to resolve this problem.
"Sharp," he said slowly. "Step aside."
Sharp whirled and frowned. "Seive he'll kill you."
Seive smiled fondly at Sharp. "Have you no faith, my dear?"
Still frowning Sharp stepped aside, and Seive turned to face a grinning Grognard.
"Come, Grognard, let us finish this."
Grognard wasted no time, and sent Seive sprawling, his bash splitting Seive's ceremonial chestplate into peices.
Licking his lips, Seive got up and began to cast, meteors, acid, fireballs all flew at Grognard.
His charge stopped for the moment, Grognard caught his breath, then drew two wicked morningstars from his belt. Seive drew his magnificent sword, and prepared to fight, cursing under his breath.
For the next ten minutes, Sharp cringed as she watched Seive get bashed around, and beaten down by Grognard's hits. "What was he THINKING???" she thought silently and desperately.
Grognard closed in for the kill, and Sharp prepared to join the fray.
All of a sudden, a grey streak slammed into Grognard and sent him flying backwards.
Shyne drew his dreaded blade, and helped Seive up with his other hand.
"Shyne, you're late!" Seive grumbled, as he ripped off some shards of broken armor from his body.
"Sorry, Seive, you know me..." grunted the half orc with a wink.
Grognard knew the tide had turned. Even though Shyne was extremely susceptible to his weapons, he would never survive against Seive and Shyne together. Perhaps it was time for a strategic retreat. Grinning, he said "It was fun, Seive, maybe next time." Grognard winked and prayed to Nisstyre for transportation. Grognard disappeared in a puff of smoke.
Battered and broken, Seive leaned on Shyne for support, and looked over to Sharp with a wide grin.
"So Sharp, where were we when little Grognard interfered?..." "Oh yes...." Seive pulled out something shiny from his robes. It glinted in the sunlight. "I was asking you a question....."
Fate : The Question Answered by Sharp (4/10/2001)
Poised to join the foray, not entirely sure who she would have pounced on first, she quietly thanked Nisstyre for the timely disappearance of Grognard. Now, shards of Seive's armor littered the grass, Seive was dented and scratched and could not stand unaided by Shyne. Injured, yes, but his persistence remained. He wanted an answer to his question and he wanted it now!

"I was asking you a question..." Looking to Ventor, who stood behind her, now more composed, he nodded, smiling at her. She turned back to face her past, Ventor, a questioning look in her eyes. "If it's what you want..." Tilting her heavy head slightly to fully focus on Ventor, she could see that her old husband was not pained by the scene. Nodding, Sharp turned to the shadowy duo.

Seive dangled, almost falling from the grip that Shyne had on him, Shyne appeared to be lost in the moment as a tear glistened in his eye. Sharp darted towards Seive as Shyne almost thrust Seive towards her. The podrikevs embraced, collapsing in the grass as Sharp answered Seive's question in hushed tones. "Yes, I will marry you, Seive." Shyne and Ventor heard the answer. And silently agreed on a swift departure, leaving the grove side by side as Seive's face was overcome with emotion. Burrying his head in Sharp's neck he sobbed with relief. "I didn't think you'd have me". Holding him in her arms she rubbed his back gently. "It seems fate decided on that one, Seive. And fate told me a long time ago that you'd eventually be mine."

Ventor and Shyne strolled out of the church, heading back to the halls. Nudging Shyne, Ventor, grinning said "nice work there, quite stunning battle my friend." Shyne smirked, "nah, that was nothing, you should see a real fight." They laughed and continued on their way.

Somewhere in the weave of time the scales tilted and a shift occurred. Sharp and Seive's partnership edged the balance slightly...
