Human resource development (HRD) is an organized learning that provides the possibility of performance change and improvement towards individuals and groups through development of their knowledge, skills and abilities (KSA’s) necessary for the successful performance of the organization. Our HRD niche area covers training and development, organizational development, career development and HR practices.
HUMAN FACTORS @ FSKPM - Designing for the mind
This group approaches work performance from the Human-Product Interaction and Usability Engineering perspective. Multidisciplinary approach is used to study and increase usability, effectiveness, safety and comfort issues in products, machines and environment in relations to human users’ cognitive, psychological and social strengths and weaknesses. Scope of study ranges from human-product interaction in simple technologies such as a mobile phone, to complex, high-risk work environment such as a fully automated manufacturing system. Strategies for reduction of human errors are also studied. Cultural and Social Issues are heavily utilized in studies involving the design and development of applications meant for universal communities.
