::New Members::
So you are a new member and you want to find out how everything works? Well you're in the right place. First thing's first, you need to get sorted. Just like in the real Harry Potter books and movies there are four different houses, Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw and Slytherin. Answer the sorting hat's questions and send the answers to me, Naliara, and you will be sorted according to your answers. No matter what house you are sorted into you should treat everyone in the club with kindness and respect no matter what House they are in. (unless you are roleplaying and in character)
Just like at Hogwarts the four different houses compete against each other to see which house can get the most points. Earning house points is fun and easy and right now there are three ways to earn points. You can participate in classes where you submit your homework and you get points for how well you do. You can submit an article/essay/poem/book review to The Daily Prophet, or you can participate in contests, just participating will earn you a few house points whether you win a contest or not. Every six months (or so) the House Cup will be awarded to the house with the most points, every active member of that house will get a prize. By active I mean I need to see you posting on the message board and submitting homework.
Well, I think you have the basics, if you need anymore help feel free to ask on the message boards or zetamail any staff member and your question will be answered ASAP. Remember that you can't participate in classes or contests until you are sorted.
