Death Eaters Escape Azkaban
The Death Eaters being held in Azkaban have now escaped. It unknown how they did so, but authorities believe that
it is the work of He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named. Sirius Black is the only prisoner prior to this to have every escaped from Azkaban. Eariler this year, Professor Albus Dumbledore of Hogwarts School
of Witchcraft and Wizardry stated during the trial by the Wizengamot of Harry Potter that he believed the Dementors have joined the Death Eaters and that they may have aided in their escape.
During the early summer, a number of Death Eaters were captured in the Ministry of Magic. These included Lucius Malfoy, an important funder of Ministry activities, Antonin Dolohov, Augustus Rookwood, and Walden Macnair.
Prior to the capture of the Death Eaters, Albus Dumbledore had fled Hogwarts school after claiming to have started a Defense Against the Dark Arts group against the Minister of Magic, Cornelius Fudge. Dumbledore once again appear in the Ministry of
Magic and dueled with He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named, proof that he has returned in front of a large group of eyewitnesses. Several interviews from those present revealed that Dumbledore and Cornelius Fudge met together to discuss a matter of great importance.

PoA and GoF Movies
Because of length, the Dursleys will not be appearing in the movie adapation of the Goblet of Fire. The movie is currently being reported to begin at the Quidditch World Cup. Richard Griffiths, who plays Vernon Dursley is very disappointed with the loss of his role. He even pleaded with J.K. Rowling to convince Warner Brothers to leave him in the film.
For North American viewers, ABC will be airing ten minutes of the Prisoner of Azkaban film after a showing of the first movie, Harry Potter and the Sorceror's Stone. Along with the showing of the movie will be interviews with Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint. Warner Brothers showed a preview for the Chamber of Secrets last year after an episode of Family Affair.
HBO will also be showing a preview for the Prisoner of Azkaban film. This will feature a behind the scenes look at the filming of the movie once again starring Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint. |

RPG News
Character Descriptions are now being managed similar to the way they originated. People simply post their character's bio into the appropriate thread and begin roleplaying. This is a lot less work for the admins. If it gets out of control however we will be going back to approvals.
The boards have been cleaned up for the Gwazi. OOC Boards now have their titles in italics while IC Boards do not. The descriptions beneath the Ask the Admins boards and Owl Post are also a smaller font size giving them a more interesting look. Most importantly of all, HPRPGNET has finally aqquired a doman name! Event News
The new Gwazi has begun and so have the Events. So far limited hints have been released of what is to come, but there has been the appearence of a black cloaked man near the boundary between Knockturn and Diagon Alley.
He possessed a black book with a golden title that read "Advanced Necromancy."What this could mean is anyone's guess. Have fun trying to figure it out. Laska has also given the hint that the event has to do with the
word "Necro." So is it the book? Or could it be referring to more than just the book? Strange sounds were also heard in the Hogsmeade cemetery following the appearance of the cloaked man. Could it be that the two events are connecte?
