| This is the episode of The New Scooby Doo Movies where Scooby meets Josie and the Pussycats. For those who've seen this (I have, obviously) you know what it's about. Two ghosts are haunting a showboat and Mystery Inc. has to solve the mystery, as usual. Usually on NSDM celebrity guests help out (real or fake i.e. Batman and Robin, Sonny and Cher, Dick Van Dyke, Harlem Globetrotters-they appear twice, etc.), and this time around Josie and Co., who are performing on the showboat, help Scooby and the rest at solving this mystery. Cartoon Network airs this episode periodically. TRIVIA: Casey Kasem pulled double duty on this episode supplying the voices of both Shaggy and Alex Cabot. Also, this was Hanna-Barbera's last project with Josie and the Pussycats (besides a "Rocking through the Years" short on Cartoon Network that aired in the mid-1990's and still does occasionally). |
