"What the hell is this?"Howie threw the tabloid down in the center of the table two weeks later as they were waiting in the boardroom of Jive; now assuming this was the reason they were here. They were here to refute the headline reading"Who's the Daddy? " presenting a picture of AJ and Nick on the cover.
"You know it's true,"AJ shot."But I don't know where it came from."
"You have any ideas Nick?"
"Settle down Howie,"Kevin shoved him down into one of the chairs.
"What's the big deal anyway?"Brian offered."You all know about it anyway right?"
"Right,"Nick returned.
"So who is the daddy?"Kevin inquired.
"We think it's Nick's but we're not sure,"AJ offered.
"You think?"
"She has a lot more of his features than she does mine."
"I know she said something to them,"Howie accused.
"Pipe down D. She didn't even want us to know. Do you really think she'd run off to some tabloid blabbing her story to the entire universe?"
"For the right price anybody'll talk Alex,"his tone turned.
"Okay boys,"Their management team entered the room."Back to your corners. We know about the tabloid and we're going to do everything in our power to retract this little incident."
Nick broke in."This did happen and the child and girl are very real."
"That doesn't matter. We'll make sure she's fairly compensated to keep any further revelations at bay and that'll be the end of this little incident."
AJ interrupted."We didn't even know until Howie told us. He's engaged to her friend."
"Break up with her."
"Excuse me,"Howie shot up.
"Break your engagement with her. We can't take any chances here."
"This is our lives we're talking about. I'm not breaking my engagement."

"And he shouldn't have to. This has nothing to do with him and his girl. This has to do with me, Nick, a woman named Cindy and a child named Susan. Don't force him to do this."
"This is bad for your reputations though,"one of them offered.
"We'll lay to rest that the child is neither mine nor Nick's with a simple DNA test, then the whole incident will blow over. Offer her the money if you want but don't pin it on us."
"You all agree to this?"
Brian nodded alongside Kevin's agreement. Howie agreed reluctantly as did Nick.
"This is not a good idea,"Nick whispered to AJ after their management had left.
"I think it is."After all, he wanted some proof that perhaps the child was his.
"You've got her number right?"
"Yeah. So?"
"So we're calling her right now."
"Why?"
"She got more than she bargained for with us Nick and I don't want her to be caught off guard when they do what I think they're gonna do."
