| "I hear Nick's out with Tam tonight,"AJ produced as they watched TV at Howie's place. "That's nice,"he stared blankly into the glare of the screen. "Come on D. What do you want from me? I apologized." "I'm sorry AJ. I just don't trust Nick's intentions for her." "It's one date D. Besides, she's a big girl." "And I've seen them together before. They are very comfortable with each other. Tammy used to be that comfortable with me." "You put the road blocks up for Susan's sake. It wasn't Tammy's fault." "I know." "Being as I've known you forever Howard, I'm gonna give it to you straight. You are butt crazy in love with that girl and afraid to tell her." "Thank you for letting me know how I feel." "Come on Howie. We all see it. The way she talks to you, the way your face lights up when she walks in the room and most of all the way you talk about her constantly." "That transparent huh?" | "This was a really great idea Tam. I'm sorry I didn't think of it sooner,"Nick said standing on her doorstep. "Me too but I figured since you weren't budging I'd make the first move,"she responded."Would you like to come in for awhile?" "If you're sure." She reached up and pressed her lips to his waiting for his response. She stopped with a wounded look on her face."What?" "I can't." "Can't or won't?" "It's not that easy." "Yes it is. Did you have a good time tonight?" "Yes." "Then I'm inviting you in because I want to and I wanted to kiss you because I felt like it not because it was necessary." "So you mean this wouldn't be out of line,"he took her in his arms and softly kissed her on the lips as she accepted the invitation of his tongue inside her mouth. She removed herself from the warmth of his body surrounding her."Why don't we continue this inside? My neighbors might get the wrong idea." "They might get the wrong idea if I come in." |
| "Yes, but at least they won't have any doubts then now will they?"she said opening the door and throwing her purse and key on the entryway table. He followed her into the darkened area and closed the door behind them."Now where were we?" He grabbed her around the waist and continued his assault on her mouth as he unzipped the dress she was wearing. She pulled at his sweater as he pulled it over his head. He returned to her hungry mouth waiting to recieve whatever he had in store. He swept her off the floor and carried her into the sunken living room in her home. He slowly slid her dress up over her silky curves and threw it acrossed the room. She met his smile only to be guided eagerly to the floor as he overpowered every inch of her body . He held her hands above her head as eagerly trailed his tongue toward her bosom at the nipple straining to be touched . He tripped the front of it with his free hand and nipped through the material still covering her breast. He pulled the material away with his teeth returning to torture her already aching body. He made a trail from one nipple to the other as his mouth finally settled upon one. As he tasted the vanilla scent on her skin, he molded the flesh of the other . Her breaths became more rapid as he held her prisoner from his own pleasure of feeling her touch upon his body. The phone rang and Nick stopped. "Why'd you stop?"She leaned upon her elbows still underneath his power. "You don't want to get that?"he looked at her puzzled. "It's Friday night. I don't care,"She drew his body back over with a kiss as he had released from his grip. The answering machine came on."This is Tam. You know what to do and if you don't then you shouldn't be talking to me,"her voice came through the speaker. "Tam?" a familiar voice entered the room stopping them both in their tracks. "I guess you're out for the night. I was gonna see if you wanted to catch a movie or something but give me a call if you don't get in too late. Bye !"he hung up turning to AJ. "What was that?"AJ glared at him. |
| "What?" "Just let it go tonight. You can see her tomorrow at the barbecue." "With Nick." "You left her no alternative." "You're right." "Maybe this wasn't such a good idea after all,"Nick got up and looked for his sweater. "Good. I hope your happy now." "What did I do wrong? You asked me out." "And you didn't say no as far as I recall." "So what do we do? He's our friend." " Friend is the key word Nick. If he was my boyfriend and your friend then we'd have something to be worrying about. So,"she had pulled herself together. "Maybe we moved just a little too fast to start with Tammy. Maybe we can do this again sometime?" "Are you asking me out on a real live date?" "It would seem to look that way. What do you say?" he bit his lower lip hopefully. "For future reference, keep tonight in your memory banks because I'd like some more of that." "Is that a yes?" She reached up and placed a kiss on his cheek."Yes." "How 'bout the barbecue then?" "What would they all think?" "Do you you really care?" "You'll pick me up at two then?" "It's a date." |
