| "Damn him! He did it again." "He did what?" "He had a little bimbo either he'd already been with or was gonna bring up to his room before I showed up. I wonder how he knew I was here already?"she turned to Nick in her ongoing tyrade. "You think I know?" "You are the only one he has access to up here." "Maybe he saw us in the lobby and held back. I don't know,"claiming ignorance of the situation. "He smelled of her and there was lipstick on his collar. I was stupid enough to fall prey to his charms once and like a fool I did it again. I thought the hard part was over." "You thought once he said he loved you that it was gonna be all candlelight and roses?" "That's what I get for thinking." "I'm sorry Tam. I really don't know how he knew you were here." She's weakening. I can see it. "No I'm sorry Nick. I come running to you everytime I have a problem with him. You shouldn't have to deal with it." "It's okay,"He drew her in. "Why does love have to be so hard?" "Who knows?"He stroked her back comfortingly."But you'll be alright." She drew her eyes up to his."Thank you." Was she going to use Nick to get back at him? Would that really be fair to her? Would that really be fair to Nick? He didn't know what had been said between she and Howie just minutes before. She saw the look in his eyes. How is it I do this without wanting to attack him all the time? I love Howie. I loved Howie. He screwed up. Should he? Does she want me to? I can't do this to her. She's hurting. It was all just talk before now. He couldn't draw his eyes away from the pain she was trying so hard to disguise. Did he really want to? She unexpectedly drew his lips toward hers. It was over. He took control and sought out her flavor. The intimate tango their tongues engaged was comfortingly familiar to him. She could stop this anytime but he couldn't hide the very real appearance of the fire growing down below. |
| His body was growing warm and she knew it. She wanted to stop but it felt so good. Was she just in need of some physical attention or did she really need him? She was on air as he eased onto the bed with her legs wrapped around his body. As their lips separated, he lightly nipped a trail against her neck. Her fingers threaded through his hair as the feeling overtook her body. "Tam,"he came to his senses."We can't do this." "Yes we can,"she captured his mouth before giving him another chance to protest. Who was he to argue with his body? No! Breathlessly, he tore away from her."We really can't do this Tam." "Why not?"She met his gaze and he lost all rational thought. A slave to his impulses. It'd been one thing if they were still dating but this was another man's woman. A man that shouldn't deserve to have her he reminded himself as she unlatched the silver button on his jeans finding her way toward the gravitational rise in his lower extremities. His T-shirt had managed to disappear onto the pile of clothing being sent into disarray on the room's floor. This wasn't happening because they wanted it to; it was a primitive urge. A void that needed filling. The length of his jeans had disappeared as well before she stood before him disrobing in a frenzy. He moved further back onto the bed as she came over him. Their kisses grew longer and deeper as did the need to be consumed with one another. He found his way over her and met the savage fire emblazoned in her gaze. She needed this. She just needed somebody and he just happened to be the one there. He sank slowly within her accomodating softness. There was no need for foreplay. The urgency was beyond their control. He lost control of his impulses and savagely thrust against her. The look in her eyes was not that of a woman in love but a woman. A woman that needed to feel loved. He steadied himself and returned to that of a passionate nature; not pure animal lust. They had passed that. He leaned in grabbing a nipple between his teeth as he held himself within her. He rose to meet her gaze before returning to the driving force consuming them. Her animal passion had been replaced by that of true desire. One he hadn't seen in her eyes for quite some time. Her approving tones only fueled his fire further. He drew her over his body as she readjusted to their position. She found herself setting the speed of their consumation now. She'd never had control and now Nick was handing it over to her all too easily. It was all too new for her. She slowed as his hands settled on her hips. She eased against his chest as she languidly pursued his pleasure. He grabbed the ripe curvatures of flesh and drove up underneath with one final thunder and pow! it was over. They lost control; her fingers loosening the grip on the bedsheets and his hands draping to the side. She withdrew from him knowing this had been so wrong yet feeling so relieved in the end. He looked over to her but her back was already turned and taken over by exhaustion. Did he really expect this to be anything more? He had hoped but he knew that was unrealistic. He filled the void she needed satisfied. After all, that's what friends are for. Right? |
