"Excuse me,"the waitress interrupted their conversation."The young lady at the bar would like to buy you a drink.  What do you want me tell her?"she directed her inquiry toward AJ.
"I'll tell her myself.   Be right back D.  Have fun with Kev here."
"I'm sure he'll be a real blast."
"I heard that,"Kevin responded.
"I thought you were lost in that girl."
"I am.  I can do two things at once."
"Well I'm sure she'll be happy to know that if you ever get the nerve up to talk to her."
"You're sick."
"No. Just being truthful."

"Can I buy you a drink?"AJ smiled at Vanessa.
Oh God!  what do  I do nowBe yourself."I offered the drink here remember?"
"Then I wouldn't be a gentleman if I didn't offer now would I?"
Great 'Nes.  He threw that one back at ya."Well that remains to be seen but I'll let you buy me one just for that little stunt on the elevator."
"I'm sorry about that."
"I'm not.  I had the best view all the way down here."
"Now  who's being unladylike?"
"I'm not being unladylike at all.  I just know what I like when I see it."
"So what are you drinking?"
"Whatever you're not."
"I say we go somewhere a little more private and discuss it."
She hesitated for a moment."Okay."
"Looks like this girl's night out is slowly dwindling to two.  I doubt Kristy and Shannon were even planning to show,"Terri exhausted a painful sigh.
"Come on Terri. You are dressed to kill in the center of a city where thousands of people gamble on love and money and you can't tell me you're going flat on  me. Hunh uh.  You're dancing with me."
"You and me?"
"There's a bunch of bozos that don't want to seem to dance so let's enjoy ourselves and dance."
"Okay,"she relucted.     She followed Sherl onto the lightly crowded dance floor and started to move to the song playing.
