The limousine had yet to pull away and Kristy and Shannon inquired,"You wouldn't be offended if we stayed would you?"
"I don't mind if they don't. What about you Sherl?"Terri turned to Sherl.
"I don't know if I'd feel comfortable staying."
"It's just a concert,"Kristy jumped in.
"It's more than just a concert. We've all become personally involved with each member of this group in one way or another. Some more intimately than others. We've made our choices. You're all welcome to stay but I'm going back to the hotel."
"I'll be joining her,"Sherl stated.
"Do what you want,"Kristy bounded out of the limo with Shannon following.
"Brian!"Kristy hollered down the long hallway.
He turned to see whom was adressing him."Kristy and Shannon right?"
"Right,"Shannon said as they approached."You mind if we stay?"
"Not at all. What about the others though?"
"Sherl and Terri. Well Sherl decided she was a little uncomfortable with the whole situation and well we all know about Terri."
" And you're not uncomfortable?"
"Do you know anything we don't?"
"I think we're all pretty much in the dark as to what's going on between those two. Then there's AJ and the new missus."
"Well that would be one of our friends too,"Kristy jumped in.
"Something magical about you girls or what?"
"We'd like to think so but we're just us."
"Whatever's going on, I don't think we need to be involved,"Kristy offered as Kristen breezed by them with Kevin close on her heels.
"Let's go,"Brian encouraged as Kristy and Shannon joined him.

"Come on Kristen. It was one night,"Kevin begged.
"It's one more night that didn't need to happen. Don't I make you happy?"
"It's not that baby. It's just one of those things. I can't explain it."
"So if I were just drawn to another man it wouldn't bother you?"
"I'd be lying if I said it wouldn't."
"You'd be lying period. I'm not stupid Kevin. I saw the look on that girl's face. She wasn't just another girl stupefied by your staged charm. She got to you."
He started walking away from her.
She followed and found her way in front of him."She did. What was it Kev? Was it that alluring innocence in her big blue eyes or was it those knockers the size of Texas? Come on Kev. You can tell me. I'm the woman you're planning to marry."
"Don't do this Kris."
"You did this to yourself."
"Are you finished?"
"With you? You'd better fucking believe it!"she stormed past the group of men once again. LeighAnne followed her and Brian stopped Kevin.
"Get out of my way!"
"Or what? I don't know what's going on but I've never seen Kristen like this with you. That girl sure as hell cast a spell on you. I'll admit she did on me too but I didn't follow through. I have a feeling you did."
"Would you shut up?"Kevin flared.
"Would you get a grip on yourself then? We have a show to put on in less than a half an hour and you're chasing your girlfriend through these halls like a teenage boy. Leigh might be able to talk some sense into her if you'd just let her be for more than two seconds."
Kevin clamped his hand into fist and exhausted a deep breath."Dammit Brian! Why'd she have to do it?"
"Why'd who do what?"
"Terri. The girl."
"Oh. What'd you expect Kev? She was hurt and seeing you with Kris probably just added a little more salt to deepen the wound."
"She didn't have to do it."
"And neither did you."

"So why'd you do it?"Sherl inquired after an uncomfortable silence had settled between the two.
"Do what?"Terri spoke.
"Why'd you do that to Kevin?"
"And let him get away with it once again? I'm sure I'm not the only peach rose he's delivered a message of love to Sherl. I thought I could be the bigger person about it but I couldn't. I'm so used to being weak that it didn't seem right when I was trying to be so strong and willful."
"There are more discreet ways of doing things you know."
"Like what? Sending her an anynomous letter telling her what a jackass of a boyfriend she has? Like she'd believe that. I'd look like just another shot down girl trying to get into his pants when it was the other way around."
"You didn't have to."
"Well neither did he."
