The Game Is Over
She weakly held herself up on the pool's edge; her body limp from his savage behavior. She buried her head in the forearm holding her up. A storm of tears flowed steadily. She didn't think she had the strength even for this. It was over. He got what he wanted right? Who cared about her right now anyway? She was just another pawn in their world. Oh God! He smirked at HIS handiwork. He didn't do it completely on purpose but he was determined to have her no matter what the cost tonight. Even if it did mean taking what he wanted. He finished dressing. He watched as she finally managed to pull herself along the pool's edge. Bit by bit, she crept closer and closer toward him. She looked up and saw him there. The fear she now had managed to strengthen her a small distance."Let me help you Dianna." "Leave me the hell alone you bastard!"She shouted. "Oh come Dianna. You don't want them to watch you crawl into the hotel like that now do you?" "If it meant not having to be near you, then yes." "You don't mean that." "Yes I do! Go away!" "You're not strong enough to walk." "I have you to thank for that." "I could just jump back in and do it again ya know,"He threatened. "No! Why won't you let me go." "I can't let you go. Don't you know that. Now please let me help you." She drew herself forward; unable to fight him anymore and too battered to care. He'd already done the damage. What more could he do? As she crawled up the pool's steps, he met her with the white hotel robe she had worn down. Once the robe surrounded her body, he lifted her into his arms. She looked up at him and saw the deviant glint in his eyes. Oh God! what more was he gonna do to her? He grinned."You know, you really are too easy." His tone condescending. Her fingernails dug into his skin where she held onto him in a vain attempt at escaping his support. He remained calm and scolded her."Now, now, now. Do I really need to remind you what position you're in?"
She reluctantly loosened her grip and held on as they silently traveled the distance to his room. He eased her onto the king sized bed. He sat down next to her; drawing away the wet strands of hair plastered to her face."Now this is the deal. You have free reign of the room as long as you don't try anything." "Oh joy,"she remarked under her breath. "What was that?"He jerked her chin up to stare into that icy glare of his "Nothing." "Keep it that way and you have nothing to worry about,"he said; patting her patronizingly on the thigh. She retracted from his touch. Fucking bastard! He snickered as he left her alone on the bed. He plopped down on the couch in the spacious room and clicked on the remote control. Flipping through the channels he managed to finally stumble on the porn. As the grunting and groaning became more pronounced, he hit the volume button. Cringing with his actions, she pulled herself from the bed and stumbled to the bathroom. She locked the door. At least he couldn't get through that and she'd have a few moments of solitude. She dropped the robe and examined the bruises adorning her fair skin. The bruises on her upper arms were the worst. She reached in the shower and turned the knob to heat the water."Fuck!" She yanked her hand out after testing the scalding heat of the water. After reaching a comfortable temperature, she stepped inside the shower. She let the water beat down on her before she reached for the soap. She ran the soap blindly down one arm before letting it drop to the tile floor. Her tears mixed with the flow of the water pouring over her. She was an utter wreck thanks to him. She may have been dumped but she'd never let a man demean her the way Nick had. God only knew what else he had planned for her. And then there was Howie. What was she gonna do? Oh wait a minute! He was a shit too! She truly was alone. Oh God! She buried her face in her hands; slowly sinking to the floor. The shower's waterfall hiding the sounds of the sobs wracking her now fragile form. There was some solace in the fact that he couldn't take pleasure from her pain right now.
Brian wandered down the hall with a can of soda in his hand. He was headed....well he really didn't know where. He couldn't sleep and he was tired of being cooped up in his room. He saw Howie approaching. "Hey Bri. Whatcha doin up at this hour?"Howie inquired. He really didn't care much. He was more concerned with Dianna's whereabouts at this point in time. He needed to apologize and pray she give him the chance that he'd given her. "Couldn't sleep. Thought I might wander down and see if Nick was up for a game or somethin." "I don't think you're gonna be finding him alone tonight actually Bri." "No?" "Come on Brian. This is Nick. He can charm his way under any little girl's skirt just by smiling."He really didn't want to be talking about Nick being he was the cause for this dilemma of his but it never occured to him that Dianna had a pivotal role in Nick's agenda tonight as well. He could been doing this just to piss her off tonight. "True but I'm gonna check nonetheless." "Do what you want but listen, you wouldn't have happened to have seen Dianna would ya?" "No. Why?" "I can't find her anywhere. I kinda screwed up tonight." "What happened?" "I really don't wanna think about it anymore Bri. I just wanna find her okay?" He shrugged his shoulders then offered,"Need an extra pair of eyes?" "Thanks for the offer Bri but I think I'm gonna go back to the room and wait. She's gotta come back some time. Her stuff is still here. Talk to ya later."He turned and headed back to his room. Please God just let her be okay. That's all I ask. Brian traveled the small distance towards Nick's room and knocked on his door. Nick opened the door."Hey Bri! What 's going on?" "Couldn't sleep. Just thought I would come down and see if you wanted to watch a movie or something."
