"Sounds good to me."  Not revealing his"guest" yet."Come on in." He stepped aside and let Brian in.
Brian heard the shower running and said,"Am I interrupting something?"
"Not at all.  She's just taking a shower before she leaves."
"I don't know how you do it Nick."Shaking his head in disbelief.
"Oh please Brian. You were no saint before you got married."
Rolling his eyes, he walked further into the room to encounter the writhing bodies on the screen."Visual aids too?"He turned to Nick.
"No that's for my pleasure,"Nick lied with a devlish grin.
"Something else we can watch perhaps?"
"Have at it,"Nick offered.
Brian plopped down on the couch and settled on something a little less racey.
"Want something to drink B?" Nick inquired.
"If you're getting something yeah."
"I'll be back then,"Nick said leaving the room.  Not exactly what he had in mind for the remainder of the evening but this could work. He'd be gone long enough they'd discover one another just in time for his arrival back.
Dianna studied her reflection.  She appeared to be clean but she certainly didn't feel it and she was sure Nick would find a way to make her feel dirty again before this whole ordeal was over.  She couldn't stay in here much longer without him getting suspicious either.  She drew the robe back around herself and opened the door.
Brian heard the door and turned his head to check out Nick's latest conquest for the evening.  He did a double take when he saw who it was.  He got up from the couch and started coming toward her.
She wasn't sure what to think of his presence.  For all she knew, Brian could be in on this too.  This is just where he fell into place perhaps.
She moved backward but he just stopped and stared. Was she with Nick again? If she was, she certainly didn't look like it was on a willing basis."You do know Howie's looking for you right?" He attempted to start a conversation.
The tears formed in her eyes once again and she remained silent otherwise.
"Say something Dianna.  You're scaring me."
Could he really be concerned and not just part of a game?  She didn't know who to trust as she back into the wall of Nick.
"I see you found each other,"Nick chuckled."Here ya go Bri."Tossing him the can of soda.
He barely caught it and set it down on the end table behind the couch."What's going on Nick?"Brian asked.
She moved away from Nick and found herself centered in the room between the two.  Oh God!  What now?  She backed toward the bed being it was her only means of escape she thought. Then again, her thought wasn't too rational at this point. She backed all the way to the headboard and looked on. Brian didn't know what was going on.  Then again maybe that was part of the game.  Shit!
"Nothing Bri.  Di and I were just having some fun. Ain't that right Di?"Popping the top on the can and giving her the don't you even dare look.
She looked toward Brian. "That's all it was Brian."
"So you and Nick are back together?"Brian inquired skeptically.
Her hesitancy should have told him the real truth but she reluctantly lied to him."Yes we are."
Brian looked at Nick and knew something was up."What'd you do to her Nick?"
"Nothing she didn't want done,"he smirked and took a swig of his soda.
She cringed as he spoke those words.
"Please Nick. This is me you're talking to,"Brian stated.
She watched the two go back and forth and wrapped the remaining rope of the knotted belt on her robe around her hand nervously.
"I know.  She never does anything she doesn't wanna do. You should know that B."
"Not when she's with you."
"Oh come on Brian.  I wouldn't do anything to physically hurt her."
Looking to Dianna, Brian asked,"So when were you planning on telling Howie about this?"
Dianna looked to Nick.  How long did he expect her to carry on this charade?
"Can she answer for herself or did you wire her mouth shut?"Brian remarked irritably.
Nick returned,"She can answer.  Maybe she doesn't want to."
"I plan on telling him this morning,"Dianna interjected.
Brian's eyes widened in disbelief.  She was in love with Howie and  now this?  Was she telling the truth?  He looked to Nick."So you really had nothing to do with her decision?"
"No."
"With recent events why don't I believe that?"
" I don't know.   You tell me."
"Dammit Nick.  I'm through playing games here." Brian moved toward the bed.
Dianna scooted away from the edge she was at.
"What'd he do to you Dianna?"
Dianna didn't respond.
"Let it go Brian,"Nick ordered.
"You let it go Nick.  You've done enough damage.  I'm not blind.  You're the cause behind all this drama tonight.  It stops here." He held firm as he met Nick's cold glare.
"Because you say so?"
"Because if you want to keep whatever happened tonight a secret, you stop harrassing them here and now."
