Chapter 15
One week later she was in New York City.  Sherl had spent the entire day at Melissa's first book signing and she would be spending the evening at the concert.  God how she missed watching them knowing one of them would be rushing off the stage and into her arms after teasing countless thousands of teenage girls full of  adolescent hopes and dreams of being that one.  She had her chance  and she blew it but she couldn't go on kicking herself in the butt everday for something she knew would never come along her way again."So we set for tonight."You know I'm totally against this plan,"AJ whispered into Sherl's ear on the way to the hotel."What if it doesn't work?"
"It'll work.  I'll drag himout of the room if I have to.  I don't have too much work when it comes to Missy."
AJ grinned as he looked toward an unsuspecting Nick.
"What?" Nick inquired as though he might have had something on his face.
"Nothing,"AJ responded knowingly.
"So tell me something Nick, how's Angela?"Sherl quipped.
"I don't wanna talk about it."
"Did I miss something?"
"Yeah,"AJ interjected."They split up  a few months ago.  You didn't know this?"
"I'm sorry Nick.  I really didn't know."
"It's okay.  This touring thing's kept my mind off it until now,"he angrily responded.
"Jeez Nick!  It was just a question."
"Lay off Nick.  She did just ask a question.  She really didn't know."
"I'm sorry Sherl.  It's just that...well ..... that was the last time I saw Missy and it was....to be perfectly honest, awkward as hell.   You mean she didn't tell you she saw me just before Christmas?"
"No she didn't."
"Probably better off anyway.  I mean she's got a whole new life of her own to explore with her book out and all."
