Yes, she finally finished the book and she was making all the final arrangements that day when Sherl approached her."Hey Girl. Guess where I'm going to be spending part of my spring break?" "New York City with me?" "Try again." "With AJ in NYC?"she remarked sarcastically. "Funny. Isn't that the same week you're in NYC yourself for a few book signings?" "Yes it is dear." "So what's up with you on that one? This is your first book. You oughtta be jazzed about this." "I am about the book but I'm not looking forward to being in NYC." "Oh. I get it. You think I'm gonna try to play matchmaker while we're there dont'cha?" "I know you Sherl." "I just don't think she's the right girl for him." "And I am?" "Yes you are." "Well don't expect too much because I have a busy schedule while I'm there remember?" "Yeah, yeah, yeah." "You forget I have a mule headed soon to be ex that won't sign the damn papers yet." |
