| I thought you were different echoed through his mind as he made his way to the studio. And AJ? AJ would never do that would he? He was the one at her office? I can't believe he would do that to her. "I thought you were different" he heard her say. The look on her face when she walked out of there. God why didn't he believe her? He wanted to believe her. He really did but AJ? he repeated. He couldn't believe that AJ was that ruthless in his attempts that he would sacrifice a woman's self worth. Especially Kara's. There were so many questions he needed answered today but there was going to be somebody making sure he wasn't going to receive those answers. The SUV came plowing into the side of his vehicle at the intersection just before the location of the studio. The last thing he saw before the world went black was the heartbreak in her eyes and the words"I thought you were different". |
| "Where's Howie?"Brian inquired. Nick rushed into the studio."I don't think you're gonna want the answer to that one." "What are you talking about?" "I was pulling into the lot when I heard the sound of crushing metal and glass. I thought it was just my stereo at first then I turned around and saw the vehicle that was hit." "What's goin on?"Kevin came around the corner. "Come with me,"Nick ordered. Kevin looked to Brian."Just follow him." "Follow who?"AJ requested as he fell into step with the rest of them. "The young un,"Kevin teased. "This isn't a laughing matter,"Brian itterated. "What's going on?"AJ reitterated as they followed him outside and upon the sight of the crash. "Oh God,"heart sinking as he rushed as closely as they would allow him to be. He tried forcing his way through a number of times before he finally gave in and inquired,"Where are they taking him?"as the red lights went flashing into the distance. He attained the information he needed. "Did you find out where they're taking him?" "Yeah. You want to split up the calls to his family?"Kevin offered. They all were pretty much in a state of shock still at this point but he knew somebody had to be the rock right now. "Good idea and I'll meet you guys there okay?"AJ's state of disbelief presiding over his expression. "Let me drive you,"Nick offered. "Good idea,"Brian entered."And don't forget to find Kara as well,"he added as he joined the others inside to make their phone calls. AJ cringed but he knew she had to be there."How are we supposed to find her?" "My wife,"Nick produced. |
