| Digital Communication Tools--45260 Core 40 elective Academic Honors & Technical Honors elective > Touch Keyboarding > Palm PDA's > Speech Recogntion > OneNote Software > Handwriting Recogniton > Format letters, reports, tables Students will develop computer literacy, develop and refine touch-keyboarding skills, use start-up procedures for speech recognition, learn the features and setup of PDAs/handheld devices, and develop and refine digital pen skills. Students will also organize notes using electronic note taking software. |

| ALL STUDENTS IN DCT MUST HAVE THERE OWN 1 GB USB FLASH (JUMP) DRIVE. This flash drive will remain in class for the semester, then given back to the student to take to the second semester teacher. The USB flash drive is needed to save projects that require more memory than the floppy disk can handle. You can purchase these at Wal-Mart, Target, Office Depot, or Staples.
