Accounting I--45241/45242 Grades 10-12 *Core 40 elective *Academic Honors/Tech Honors credit
Accounting is the process of planning, analyzing, and understanding of financial information. Transactions are analyzed using the accounting theory of debits and credits with the use of special journal books. Special reinforcement projects and simulations are used that apply the principles learned during the semester. Students learn the double entry accounting system manually, but also enter some problems on a special computerized spreadsheet program similar to the workforce programs. This class is a highly recommended business course for college-bound students.
