Agoraphobic Nosebleed--Frozen Corpse Stuffed With Dope
Relapse   2002

In the sphere of misanthropic grind, it doesn't get any better than Agoraphobic Nosebleed. Frozen Corpse Stuffed With Dope is the newest addition to their legacy of negativity. Not for the weak of heart, this album is a powder keg of energy brought forth by a band who are masters of their craft and don't give a damn about making any friends in the process of things.

For the uninitiated, suffice to say, if hate was a sound it would be
Agoraphobic Nosebleed. Their style is total grind, fueled by inhuman hardcore blast beats, faster than fast guitar work, and topped off with super raw gutteral vocals. The thing that seperates Agoraphobic Nosebleed's sound from other like-minded bands is the almost psychedelic edge their music has. These added atompherics take music that was already hypnotic and drive it completely over the edge.

Frozen Corpse Stuffed With Dope is comprised of of 38 tracks, clocking in at a grand total of just under 34 minutes. That being said, there is a lot of variety to be found on this album for such a short average playing time amongst songs. On tracks like "Crap Cannon" and "North American Corpse Desecration," Agoraphobic Nosebleed manage to sound like a totally tweaked out rendition of Reign In Blood-era Slayer. "Doctored Results" sees the band recalling the heaviest moments of Godflesh's recorded work. The band even dabbles in the purely electronic on "Hungry Homeless Handjob," creating an industrial slab which makes Johnny Violent's Shocker album sound about as menacing as Elton John. In case you were in any doubt about what was happening here lyrically, song titles like "Blind Hatred Finds A Tit" hip you in advance to what you're in store for.

One of the most unfriendly albums you're likely to hear in you lifetime,
Frozen Corpse Stuffed With Dope is a triumph amongst its kind. Sure to offend loads of people, Agoraphobic Nosebleed have created another brutal masterpiece. If you have any anger or frustration in you that has been stewing, one listen to this album is enough to purge every bit of it.
