Omegalord--s/t
Airport Circle   2003

One of the best things about doing a music reviews site is when a band you probably wouldn't have heard of otherwise submits something that completely sets you on your ass. This, friends, is one of those times. With their new four song CD, Omegalord blaze from seemingly out of nowhere to deliver some of the best brutal rocking in ages.

In terms of style, the biggest and best comparison for how
Omegalord sounds would be the mighty Hookers. This has got to be the best metallic punk outlaw scum rock to drop since Black Visions Of Crimson Wisdom. The guitars are running on V-twin power, the drums sound like cannons going off, and the vocals are delivered in a perfectly hoarse bellow. Awesome.

As for the songwriting, it's just what you'd hope for. This style of music is not about finesse, it's about cultivating a vibe which
Omegalord do here in grand style. From the effortless stomp of "Sins Of The Father" to the pounding stutter of "Breathin' Fire," there isn't a single moment of letdown on this disc.

In fact, it's all so damn good, four songs just doesn't seem like enough. Wanting more of the same is about the only complaint one could have with this slab, rest assured. When you're dealing with the unknown, there are no guarantees. So,
know that this Omegalord CD is a sure thing. Based on this disc, you can expect more great stuff from these guys in the future. Keep it coming.
