Nashville Pussy--Keep on F*ckin' in Paris!

You hear a lot of folks refer to certain groups as being "live bands," meaning they're more powerful in concert than on record. As great as all their albums have been, Nashville Pussy would certainly fall into that category. When this band hops onstage, all the bad attitude and swagger they exude increases exponentially. This fact makes Keep on F*ckin' in Paris one serious blessing of a DVD for rockers everywhere.
As the title says, this particular show was filmed in Paris with the current Nashville Pussy lineup. Gone from the show is the firebreathing and girl-on-girl making out from their previous two configurations. However, there is still enough sex appeal oozing from new bassist Katie and guitarist Ruyter to kill an army of horses. Ultimately, what you get here is a show just as provocative as before but with a greater emphasis on the actual rocking. This is really a benefit to the band as their superb songwriting and playing have been overlooked or written off in the past becoase of "the gimmicks." On Keep on F*ckin' in Paris, there's nothing to distract you from the fact you're getting the best of every world simultaneously--every time Ruyter lays her hand on the fretboard of that SG, the sound that comes is immense and she's always sexy as hell doing it, making rock dudes hearts worldwide ache just that much more. She is still the ultimate rock goddess--that certainly hasn't changed a bit.
Diehard fans will be thrilled with the stacked setlist from this show. From "Piece of Ass" to "Go to Hell," right on through to the Grammy nominated "Fried Chicken and Coffee," all the classics are here. As an added bonus, you get to witness the Pussy machine chugging through hot covers of AC/DC's "Shot Down in Flames" and Turbonegro's "Age of Pamparius." From start to finish, it's total utopia.
As with everything Nashville Pussy puts out, Keep on F*ckin' in Paris is a must-have for all fans of uncomprimising hard rock. If you're a newbie, this DVD even has a sing along function to help you learn the lyrics to the songs quicker. You will want to learn those words. One viewing of this disc and you'll be in the fornt row geeking out like the rest of us next time Nashville Pussy rolls through town.
