Uncle Dan:
First off, thanks very much for the time and sacrifice it took to sit down and do this interview, Jeff. Congratulations on the recent release of the 20 Year Anniversary Show DVD. Are you pleased with the way that turned out and do you think it does a good job capturing the essence of ANTiSEEN onstage?

Jeff Clayton: Yeah I'm real happy with the final product. DAMN--it took forever to put it out! I think this captures a "different" kind of show for us. One, it's WAY longer than most of our shows, and two, with all the old band members joining us onstage.

UD:
Now, with over 20 years of history behind the band, has the thought crossed your mind about putting together an ANTiSEEN documentary--a visual history lesson on the band, if you will?

JC: Oh yeah--I've thought about that quite a bit. I've got TONS of footage from our entire career--but I may have had to re-think it after the royal pain in the ass this first DVD was!

UD:
There are so many forthcoming ANTiSEEN releases on tap, it's a bit overwhelming. Perhaps the best place to start would be with the new studio album, Badwill Ambassadors. How is that progressing along? What can fans expect this time out--any surprises?

JC: BADWILL AMBASSADORS is finished and is now looking at a Halloween release. I think I had the most fun making this album of any before. There is a lot of the usual stuff people expect from our releases--wrestling songs, songs to make PC people cry, and our old time partners in crime Thee Cosmic Commander of Wrestling and the Dean of Sods on one release together. It's 12 tracks. All originals. No covers this time. TKO will be handling the CD version stateside and Scarey records from Italy will be releasing the vinyl version.

UD:
Preceding that new full length studio offering will be a few 7"ers, correct? Tell us a little bit about what's coming on those platters.

JC: There is an EP from Italy on SCAREY Records called THEE FROM PARTS UNKNOWN EP which will feature two all new original/not on the album cuts and an alternate version of an album track called "FROM PARTS UNKNOWN" (a tribute to masked wrestlers), as well as a live version of "Watch The Bastard Fry" taken from the 20 Year Show DVD.

UD:
One of the most exciting new releases on ANTiSEEN's horizon is the stacked reissue of One Live Sonofabitch, via Steel Cage Records. This monster has been progressively expanded, now slated to be a double CD with a DVD, to boot. Talk some about how this package came to swell so much and fill us in on all the cool extras this thing will boast.

JC: Well, it started out just being the reissue of the original album until I unearthed a bunch of tapes I thought were lost forever. Then, I approached Larry & Leslie at Steel Cage about the possibilty of a double CD. They agreed, and then I got the bright idea of it having a DVD extra just so I could start getting out some of the best footage first on DVD. This will feature a pro shot, 3 camera, Halloween show from 1997. The extras on the DVD will be a 30 minute doucmentary shot around 93 or 94, a Charlotte TV talk show appearance from 93, and one of the first and most brutal of our BARBED WIRE shows. So yeah, there is gonna be a lot of stuff on that son of a bitch!

UD:
One Live Sonofabitch has also seen a recent vinyl repress through Scarey Records. How did that turn out?

JC: Fantastic! It's already in a second pressing on white vinyl.

UD:
More kudos are deserved for the pressing of the superb ANTiSEEN book Destructo Maximus. How difficult was it compiling 20 years of Antiseen press and history?

JC: Goddamn! Me and the Steel Cage folks started sifting through what seemed like mountains of press boxes back in 2000! A year or so later, I packed all the stuff into my van and drove it up to Philadelphia in the snow! HA HA! We worked an entire weekend just separating shit--and I mean from morning to very late night. It was the hardest I ever worked on any project involving this band and I'm very proud of the end result.
