ANTiSEEN--"Sabu" + 1
Steel Cage   2000

ANTiSEEN's love of pro wrestling is no secret. With them, the bloodier the better, meaning a special reverence for the days of ECW. In that world, one legend outshined them all--that of the suicidal, homicidal, genocidal Sabu. This 7" is the band's tribute to that beloved maniac.

As such, things begin here with
"Sabu." ANTiSEEN have penned many wrestling tributes over the years and this one is near the top of the list. This is classic hyperspeed ANTiSEEN, all the way. Including Joey Styles' clasic tag line of "oh my God" in the lyrics to cap the choruses is a nice touch.

Finishing out things is a tip of the hat to another madman, this time from the world of rock n' roll,
Alice Cooper. This is a live cover of "Sick Things," taken from a 1997 show. The main thrill of this particular take is getting to hear ANTiSEEN with onstage organ backing. The keys give this an interesting flavor you don't usually get from the band.

Even if you're not over the top as an
ANTiSEEN fan, as long as you're at least a wrestling mark, this 7" is still for you. Diehards will also want this slab a great deal, for the superb cover sported on the B-side. You can't go wrong, either way. Pressed on blood red vinyl, to boot. Very classy.
