WILLIAM H. CREWS DIES AT HAZELWOOD HOSPITAL

William H. Crews, 75, died at 6pm Monday, December 13, at Hazelwood Hospital in Louisville.  He had been in declining health for some time and had been hospitalized since July.

Mr. Crews, a farmer in the Gravel Switch area, was a Marion County native, born July 27, 1892, the son of the late P. N. and Nancy Cooley Crews.  He was married in 1912 to Myrtle Myers Crews, who survives.  He was a member of Kedron Methodist Church.

Also surviving are a son, Ray Crews, Lebanon, a daughter, Mrs. Owen Chelf of Louisville, and four grandchildren.

The body was at Don V. Drye Funeral Home.  The funeral was held there at 2:30pm Wednesday by the Rev. Kenneth Williams.  Burial was in Haysville Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Virgil Peyton, Charles Rawlings, Dan Collier, Garnett Coffey, Frank Brown, Jr., and Jim Miller Harmon.

MINNIE CREWS DIES AT LEBANON HOSPITAL

Minnie Myrtle Crews, 81, died at 4:30pm January 17, 1973 at Mary Immaculate Hospital, where she had been a patient for several weeks.

A native of Marion County, she was a daughter of the late
John H. and Minnie Tharp Myers.  She was preceded in death by her husband, William Howard Crews.

She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Owen Chelf, Louisville, one son, Ray Crews, Lebanon, one brother, James A. Myers, Crestwood, Ky. and four grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted at 2:30pm, January 19, by the Rev. Herman Rowlett at Bosley Funeral Home, who was in charge of arrangements.  Burial was in Haysville Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Dan Collier, Garnett Coffey, Frank Brown, Jr. Jim Miller Harmon, Guthrie Mays and Virgil Peyton.
