| Danville Advocate Messenger 9/27/1996 Ruth Hourigan Cox, 79, of Louisville died Friday at her home. She had relatives in Perryville. A native of Marion County, she was a retired Jefferson County teacher, a volunteer for Civitan, a member of Farmdale Baptist Church and the American Federation of Teachers. Survivors include her husband, James W. Cox Sr.; four sons, James W. Jr., Fred L. Sr., Thomas R. Sr., and Richard W. Cox; a daughter, Barbara J. Sisk; a brother, Fred Hourigan; 12 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Highland Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road. Burial will be in Beech Fork Cemetery in Marion County. Visitation is 1-9 p.m. today and after 11 a.m. Monday. Memorial contributions may be made to Cedar Lake Lodge. |
