ATTUNEMENT

Attuning, charging and programming your crystals is not 
absolutely necessary but it can help to magnify their effectiveness 
for you immensely. 


Attuning is the process of becoming aligned with the 
particular energies of a particular crystal.


It also often involves putting some of your energy into the crystal.
An exchange of energy would be one way to think of the process.
You take in some of the crystals energy and add it to your
basic energy signature and the crystal takes in yours and 
similarly modifies it's signature. 


First cleanse  the crystal.


It's a good idea to just fondle it for a while.
Sleep with it under your pillow or at your bedside. 

When the crystal is ready for attunement it will let you know.

It can help to use an essential oil that assists 
your psychic connections. 


Sit down in a comfortable place 
and cradle the crystal in both hands.

You don't have to close your eyes but I usually do.

Breathe from your toes in slow meditative rhythmic breathing.
Let your fingers wander over the surfaces of the crystal.

At some point you will begin to feel a connection to the crystal, 
it may speak to you, you may see a color, or have a vision. 
Usually I know that the connection is forming because 
I get a funny little tingle in my third eye and down behind my nose.
Eventually that tingle spreads downward and I can feel it
cycle through each chakra and then down into mother earth..

You will get a feeling 
that it is time to open  your eyes and look at the crystal.
Maintaining deep rhythmic breaths 
I usually bring the crystal up toward my face 
and "gaze" the face of the crystal that has presented itself. 


 Gazing is defocusing your vision 
as though you were  looking through  
(and past) the crystal.



You  will feel the tingle in your third eye get stronger. 
It may well begin to feel like a flow of energy. 
That is what is. 
The crystal may get warm in your hands 
or feel like it is vibrating. 

As you gaze your crystal you may be shown visions 
or hear the crystal talk to you. 
You may travel into the crystal. 

When you are done. Place your friend in an honored position  
on your altar or crystal shelf after thanking your crystal  for 
the opportunity to meld.

The attunement is complete. 

You may want to wash your hands and arms 
in cold water to recenter yourself. 



A shorter method of attunement is to compress this whole process 
into a minute or so followed by raising the crystal to your forehead
And exchanging "zaps" with it.

I often use this method when I want to use a crystal 
I have just bought immediately.
