Justine and Brittany
"Soooo. What are you doing?" Justine asked Brittany even though it was obvious what she was doing as she shifted through that racks and racks of clothing.
"The same thing I was doing when you asked me 2 minutes ago." Brittany pulled out a denim shirt still on the hanger and threw it on to the chair beside her. The girls were in the wardrobe room in the house, which had many couches and chairs. It also had dressing rooms, which the guys hardly ever used and full length mirrors.
"What are they going to wear?" Justine watched her friend getting more and more frustrated.
"I have no clue..it's hopeless there isn't anything in these racks of clothes that is any good." Brittany pushed one rack away from her pulling another one to her.
Justine's eyes got wide. "What do you mean no clothes. I have never seen so many new clothes in my life. Well except for in Justin's closet."
She nodded her head. "Yeah Justin's closet is something else. Too bad I helped him with that. I think his clothes have doubled since I have been living with him. We go shopping like every Tuesday. When you were at school we were busy at the mall. On tour he sends me with a list every Tuesday, wherever we are. It's like Justin/ Brittany time. Only with the good Brittany." Brittany smiled at Justine who was looking through the girls clothes racks.
"Why is there girls clothing in here?" She pulled out a hideous brown and blue shirt.
"It's for the girlfriends." Brittany stated simply. "Dani uses it a lot for when he and Chris go to events together I always pick stuff out for her." Brittany walked up to her grabbing the shirt out of her hand.
"No Justine you can't have that shirt." Brittany put it back on the rack. "I don't even know why it's on there but leave it to you to pick it out."
"Why can't I be a girlfriend and get all of these cool clothes?" Justine pulled out a pair of leather pants.
"Hey, JC said he would take you shopping. If it wasn't for me, you would have turned it down completely." Brittany shook her head pulling out a short baby blue leather skirt.
"Here. Go in there and try it on to see if it fits."
"Hey, how did you know what my size is? I have never told you."
"Hun, I do this for a living. I live and breathe clothes. I know sizes like the guys know the lyrics to their songs."
Justine walked into the dressing room and started to change into the skirt. "How much was this skirt, Brittany?" Justine pulled it up on her, amazed at how well it fit. It was like it was made for her.
"Um.I think that one was around $300." Brittany handed her a white tube top covered in sequins for her to put on with it.
"What?!" Justine just about died, not wanting to move so she wouldn't ruin it.
"Wait, no." Brittany thought for a minute. "I think that was the $500 one."
"Holy crap! Brittany, I don't think I have worn anything that was ever more than a hundred dollars, and if it was, I think it was the dress that Justin bought for me that I worn once." Justine rambled on speaking of her tomboy appearance.
"Chill, Justine! We are just having fun. Are you done yet?" Brittany questioned. A second later, Justine was standing in front of her in the outfit.
"Wow, it fits perfect." Brittany spun her finger around, motioning for her to turn around and let Brittany see if she liked it. "I think it was a good pick on my part." Brittany nodded her head in approval. "It will be great for the Jive party tomorrow."
"I'm not going to the party." Justine stepped off the platform in front of the mirror.
"Yes you are." Brittany looked through the racks for more clothes for herself and Kristin.
"Who am I going to go with?" Justine walked back into the dressing room and quickly started to change being as careful as physically possible.
"I'm not going with anyone. That doesn't mean that I'm not going." Brittany turned to a rack of suits looking for some fun ones for the guys to wear to the party the next night.
"Brittany, you aren't going with one of the guys?"
"No, not that I know of." Brittany shook her head.
"Is Britney going to be there?"
A huge smile spread across Brittany's face. "Hell no! I said this was going to be a party! It wouldn't be one if she were there. I guess she has some promotional things that she needs to do for her movie. So damn! She can't make it." Brittany snapped her fingers. "Mike!" Brittany yelled to Justin's bodyguard.
After a couple of seconds he appeared in the doorway. "Were you down by rehearsals? You look like you were getting beat up by the guys again." Brittany leaned up on the wall as she quietly talked to Mike. Justine walked around the room a little bit still amazed by all of the clothing.
"Yeah. Justin was making me give him piggy back rides. I swear that boy scares me sometimes. Oh yeah, and I was told that seeing as his one Britney," Mikes eyes rolled as he said her name, "can't attend tomorrow, he wanted me to ask if you would do the honors and be his date." Brittany smiled at the large man in front of her.
"Or his replacement or fill in Britney, I'll have to go talk to that boy."
Justine started to lean and listen to the conversation and all of her hope of maybe getting to go with Justin to the party was shattered when he heard their conversation knowing Brittany wouldn't turn down his invitation. It wasn't that she wanted to go with him but it would have been nice if he had asked her.
"Mike, would you do me a huge favor and take these three racks of clothes out to the van and take them to Justin's? I will be dressing all of them and I think it will be just easier to do it from Justin's house, that way I can get ready myself." Brittany smiled a sweet smile for Mike.
"Sure I will Britt. If you weren't like my daughter, I would have charged you for something like this, but then again.you have been good around Justin lately and at the house you guys haven't been sneaking out, so I think I will let it slide this time." He joked around as he walked in and grabbed one of the three racks that Brittany had pointed to.
"Oh it would have been ok. I would have just made Justin pay for it anyways."
"Yeah I figured." He laughed as he walked past her pushing the rack of clothing.
"So." Brittany turned to Justine. "What do you say that we go and make sure those boys are getting things done in rehearsals?" Brittany shrugged her shoulders.
"OK. If you don't get me out of here soon I might start matching clothes actually because I was thinking those shoes would go good with the outfit you picked out." Justine pointed to brown shoes.
"Over my dead body!" Brittany gasped shaking her head.
"That could be arranged." Justine stood up brushing the wrinkles out of her shorts. Brittany just gave her a look. "Ok Ok, I'm coming." She hurried along and walked beside Brittany on the way down to the practice room. The girls could both hear Wade shouting counts at the guys from down the hall. "Sounds like they are having fun, and you wanted to leave the clothes. At least they didn't yell!" Justine laughed, watching Brittany open the door.
The guys came into view. Chris was laying on the floor exhausted. JC was up, dancing around, obviously trying to nail a move. Justin was sitting next to the mirror with his face right next to it. Joey and Lance were standing next to JC drinking their bottles of water.
"You know you guys, it's really creepy when you stare at yourself really close to the mirror." Justin continued to stare into his own eyes.
"Well look at the face you are staring at." Chris turned over. "No wonder you are scared!"
Justin ignored his comment and continued to look at himself. The girls watched from the corner. "I do have pretty eyes." He batted his eyelashes noticing the girls in the back corner. "Don't you agree girls?" Justin smiled widely watching them through the mirror.
"Hell yeah!" Brittany answered as they both walked into the room more. Justine ignored his question.
"So, Brittany, did you talk to Mike?" Justin jumped up and sauntered over to them.
"Yes I did." Brittany watched as JC finally got the move, being the perfectionist that he was as the rest of them all sat down on the table. Wade called a break the minute he noticed the girls in the room.
"Well? Will you? I figured it would be fun to go." He shrugged his shoulders giving her a crooked grin.
"What the hell. Do you want to meet at your place?" Brittany laughed as Justin joined in.
"Yeah, my bedroom is bigger than yours. So my place."
"You guys should see the skirt I picked out for Justine.now I only have to get her to go. It looks so cute on her. So not her style." Justine stood there, silent.
"Justine, you have to go! Kristin is going." Lance spoke up.
"I don't feel like going alone and my usual date... well...I don't think I need to go there." Justine glared at Justin and walked out of the room at a rapid pace.
"I swear, she has mood swings." Brittany sighed shaking her head. "I don't know what to do with her anymore. I think I am going to tie her up and leave her and Chris for dead in the middle of nowhere."
"Wait a minute, how did I get into this? I have been good!" Chris whined, laying on the floor again.
"Oh, maybe the little line telling JC to drop me this morning helped you to be included." Brittany started to lightly kick him.
"Ouch! What are you doing to me? I am fragile and worth a lot of money. Didn't your mamma tell you not to touch things like me?" He looked cockily at her.
"Yeah, my mom always told me to stay away from scum like you but some how I got stuck working with you." Brittany smiled back at his shocked expression. "Well I am going to go home. I'll see you guys tomorrow. Be at Justin's at 2 because I need to get all of you guys done, plus the girls, so I will be busy. Justin might not have a date if I don't get done." Brittany stressfully ran a hand through her hair.
"Don't worry B, it will be fine. I will help you tonight when I get home." Justin smiled, hugging her.
"Which would be?"
"In about a hour, if Chris can get the steps." Justin glared at his friend jokingly.
"Ok."
"BYE!" He shouted watching her leave. Ever since her and Justin had made up, they had become closer. Not in a romantic way, but their friendship seemed to be more caring almost.
"Ok, lets get back to work." Wade slowly walked back to the front of the studio again from his spot on his chair. "Because if J thinks that he is getting out of here in a hour, you guys will be dancing your asses off!" He put on the music as all the guys fell into place for the routine.
