~JC and Brittany~
"I don't understand what he sees in her. I mean Justin could do so much better." Brittany too was watching Britney and Justin dance together.
"Britt, stop watching them. I just think you're jealous of them." JC watched her eyes get wide as she watched them dance, and slowly looked at him.
"Jealous? Jealous of what? Plus, Justin is a little young for me."
"You just wish you had someone to be with. You haven't been in a real relationship since we broke up."
"I'm too busy for one, and why would you want one? They just hold you down."
"You want one, it's written all over your face." JC's smile was getting to Brittany.
"Yeah, ok believe what you want JC."
Kristin and Joey had been having a blast, and pretty much hung out the whole time they were there so far.
"Joey, is this why you love to go to clubs so much? This is a blast! I didn't know I was missing something so good." She half slurred as all of her drinks were entering her blood stream.
"Yeah I know. And you always yelled at me for this. I knew there was a party animal in you!" He started to grind on her as a faster song came on.
"Let's go play hide and go seek. You're it and I'm going to hide." She stumbled off quickly looked all over for the perfect spot to hide.
Looking really hard noticing her vision was a bit shaky she could have sworn that Brittany was actually having a serious conversation with JC. Running toward them, she quickly dove under JC's chair, hitting her head in the process.
"Ouch! Damn it! Oh I have to be quiet, shh!" She spoke to herself. "I have to be quiet so Joey doesn't find me." JC gave Brittany a queer look as he heard Kristin's one sided conversation.
Brittany shrugged her shoulders just as confused as JC was at the moment. "Maybe her imaginary friend is back."
"Imaginary friend? What? How come you never told me this?" JC tried to ignore Kristin who was tapping the under part of his seat.
"Well, it wasn't exactly bed conversation." They both laughed as JC bent down looking at Kristin.
"What are you doing?" He shouted above the music.
"Shh! Joey is finding me. You are going to blow my cover."
"Hun, you are under a chair! I think he will be able to see you no matter what."
"No way! I can't see him so he can't see me."
"Kristin, why are you under JC's chair?" Joey yelled as he spotted Kristin through the crowd.
"Joey, you aren't suppose to find me!" Kristin climbed out from under the chair and kicked JC hard in the process.
"Sorry, JC, here, I will make is up for you." She sat on his lap and started to dance.
"Kristin, really you don't..."
"Yeah, go Kristin! Ride him like a good cowgirl should!" Brittany screamed clapping as Joey joined in laughing.
JC, blushing uncontrollably, looked hard at Brittany, who wasn't helping any. If it was one of the guys, that was different, but Brittany was a girl. She wasn't supposed to egg her on.
"You know, Brittany?" Kristin abruptly stopped. "For a minute I thought that you guys were having a really serious conversation! I have never seen you like that before."
"Oh believe me, Kris, I have never seen you like this." Brittany tried to cover her laugh with her hand.
~Lance and Justine~
"Oh my god! She so isn't my friend!" Lance looked over at the commotion at JC and Brittany's table.
"What?" Justine turned around and started cracking up the moment she spotted Kristin on JC.
"Damn, I always knew that girl had it in her!"
"I better go check on her. I knew we should have gone to the movies instead."
Justine watched him walk away swiftly. She stared at the empty spot in front of her until someone vacated it again. "Justin what do you want?"
"I wanted to talk to you." He said with a serious expression on his face.
"Will you dance with me?" He got up standing back so she could get up.
"Justin, really, I don't think..."
"It is too good an idea. Come on, Justine, just one song. I know you don't want to be my friend, but you dance with strangers all the time." He grabbed her arm, pulling her up to him. "It's your favorite, it's Meredith." He pulled her close to him as they swayed to Reach by Meredith Edwards.
"Justine, I miss you." He looked lovingly down at her.
"How can a stranger miss me?" She looked down at their feet as they danced.
"Justine, come on, talk to me."
"Why should I? You chose Britney over me. Where is the slut by the way?" She looked around trying desperately to find her.
"This isn't about Britney, it's about you, Justine." He tried to change the conversation around hoping it would be more beneficial.
"Justin, this has everything to do with Britney. She is the one that took you away from me." She looked up at him trying to control her emotions.
"She didn't take me away from you."
"Justin, she made you break our promise." She spoke sharply, moving slowly closer to where Britney was standing glaring at them.
"That was my fault." Justin looked down again at her.
"Justin, you aren't the same person I grew up with." Justine wanted nothing more than to get away from him.
"I know I was an asshole, but please forgive me." He pleaded as a tear rolled down his cheek.
"You're right, Justin." She stopped dancing and leaned forward to him bringing her face inches from his. "You are an asshole." She walked away, grabbing her purse off the table, and ran out the door.
"See, I knew she wasn't good enough to have your friendship! Look what she did to you, Honey." Justin cringed as she took her hand and wiped the tears off of his cheek.
"Don't worry, Justin."
"Britney, please stop touching me. I'm not in the mood." He walked over to the side, where all the booths were, and sat down tiredly.
