Volume 2, Almost Extra Special Issue

New Look for the Gazette About to Hit the... Hands of the Section and Anyone Who Wants It, I Guess...
by Casey Lee Pettitt

For nearly a year now, The Horn Gazette has informed it's readers of the news (or lack thereof) pertaining to the French horn section at Sumner Senior High School. Now comes a breath-taking event: a new look. Of course, not only is the new look special, but it's the Anniversary Edition. Yep, that's right! March 1, 2000 is the one year anniversary of The Horn Gazette. Do I need to explain any further? I sure do! I have a column and a half more to fill! That's a lot!

The above graphic will be seen a lot on the next issue of the Gazette. I sometimes have no idea what to write so I either fill it with "filler articles" or "empty spaces." I tend to be less creative some days more than others. Actually, I'm quite creative. I created The Horn Gazette one day when I was bored. I only printed out one copy and it was only one page. It had two articles: an introduction of the section and a two line article telling how much our parts sucked. I just wanted to be a little funny and now it's taken on a whole new meaning in my life because people actually want to read it. Well, I think I'm done raving now... please enjoy the new look of the Gazette.

Features of the New Gazette

The new and improved Horn Gazette will contain the following great and almost supernatural features:

Letters to the Editor - This section will allow readers to respond to articles and ask the editor questions that are on their minds. The editor will respond to all the questions.

More Articles - You asked for it... well, actually nobody did... but there will be more articles in this issue than there has ever been in one issue of The Horn Gazette.

New Graphics - How am I supposed to explain new graphics... ah... there will be different pictures.

A Better Format - I got a new program, therefore the format is going to be better. You need me to explain that?! Holy smacks!

More Pages - Okay... There will be more articles, hence... more pages.
