Sweet And Sour Spare Ribs

Ingredients:
  • 1 lb spare ribs
  • 1 green pepper
  • 1 red chilli
  • 2 slices pineapple
  • 1 egg
  • 1 clove mashed garlic

    Seasoning for spare ribs:
  • 1 tbsp light soy
  • 0.5 tbsp shaoxing wine
  • 1 tbsp whisked egg white

    Seasoning(1):
  • 3 tbsp lichee vinegar
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • 0.25 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp tomato ketchup
  • 0.25 cup water

    Sauce:
  • 2 tsp cornflour
  • 2 tbsp water
  • Method:
    1. To loosen meat, press spare ribs with back of chopper. Chop up and marinate with
    seasoning for 30 minutes. Then stir in 2 tbsp cornflour. Deep fry till golden brown.
    Dish up.
    2. Cut green pepper, red chilli and pineapple into pieces. Stir fry with 1 tbsp oil till cooked.
    Dish up.
    3. Saute mashed garlic with 1 tbsp oil. Add seasoning (1). Bring to boil. Stir in sauce.
    Put in spare ribs and other ingredients. Mix well. Dish up and serve.
