Outing to Botanic Gardens

On 14 June 2007 volunteers from RJC and members of MDAS had practical photography session in Botanic Garden. It was a collaboration between RJC and 4 other RI students. Volunteers were each attached to a buddy and interacted with one another. Family and friends of MDAS members were also present at the event. To many of us, using a camera is an easy, effortless task. However as what the volunteers had seen, for those with Muscular Dystrophy, it took much perservearance to capture the nature through the lenses. To showcase how MDAS members view the world, the photographs taken during the session were used in our CD design for fundraising purposes

The photograph of one of the volunteers (Chen Xi) which was taken during the outing was selected as the top 20 entry in the STORIES of LOVE photography competition organised by Mediacorp. To view his entry, click here. His photograph can also be seen in the library@Esplanade until 31 August 2007.
