Week 18
18 week baby
Welcome to week 18!!
WHOO HOOO! I am still in shock that this is for real!!!
After trying for soooo long, I am having a hard tiem believing it, yet I have all the symptoms, so it MUST be true!
We are having a baby!!!!

The Baby:
The baby is twice as big as it was last month, but it still weighs only about 7 ounces, and is almost 8
inches from head to toe. 5 1/2 inches long if your measure
is crown to rump - about the size of a pickle. (Meanwhile,I've lost 5 pounds.) Though things may seem calm on the surface, our little one is kicking, flexing, reaching, rolling, and even sucking it's thumb now. The baby's digestive system is starting to produce meconium, the baby's first fecal matter.

Mom:
This last weekend, I had a little scare. I am pretty paranoid this time, as you all can probably understand. I didn't feel any movement for a couple days, then did feel it again, and have felt it every day. But at this early stage yet, it is common to not feel the baby for awhile. But I freak out! All is fine now.
Nothing really exciting to say this week, except that I am really looking forward to our ultrasound next week on tuesday.
Sorry this is so short, more on another day!
HUGS!
Stephanie
