Our Executive Director, Lisa Huffaker

Lisa Huffaker was serving as the treasurer on Hope's Board of Directors when the other Board Members asked Lisa if she would temporarily take on the Director's responsibilities until they could find a new Executive Director.

In a very short time, Lisa proved overwhelmingly that she was the perfect person to manage our organization. She did such a good job that the board asked her to take on the job of Executive Director permanently.

Before becoming Executive Director for Hope, Inc., Lisa had a brief stint as an accountant and in 1983, she bought the "Specialty Shop Boutique" in the Brazos Mall. Once she became a business owner, she never looked back. Lisa learned a lot about management during the two decades that she was a business owner and she met a lot of people who she could turn to for help in her crusade to eliminate domestic violence in our area.
