11. Dillard (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) - Record: 31-4. 1999-00 Final Ranking: NR. -- The 1999-00 Class 6A state champs have ffour of the first five ballin’ in the new millennium. All-State players Kelvin Brown (19 ppg.) and Ricky Phillips are back. Highly recruited forward Steve Allen (12 ppg. & 10 rpg.) is on the blocks again.

10. De La Salle (Concord, Calif.) - Record: 31-1. 1999-00 Final Ranking: # 17. -- The starting backcourt of Joe See (18 pppg. & 5 apg.) and Charles Brown return for the NorCal crew that won the California Division – I State title.

9. Vashon (St. Louis, Mo.) – Record: 27-2. 1999-00 Final Ranking: # 20. -- Four starters from a squad that won the Class 4A State title are suiting up again in 2000-01. Lorenzo Gordon (6-6, 210), Jimmy McKinney and Jesse Akins will lead the quest for a repeat.

8. Jefferson (Portland, Ore.) - Record: 28-0. 1999-00 Final Ranking: # 4. -- Two senior starters have bounced from laast year’s Oregon State Championship team, but elite PG Aaron Miles and Kansas bound SG Michael Lee make up a backcourt that's no joke. Junior Brandon Lincoln is on the rise.

7. Dominguez (Compton, Calif.) - Record: 35-2. 1999-00 Final Ranking: # 1. -- The 1999-00 National Champions lost fivee seniors, but Tyson “The Franchise” Chandler is back and that’s all ya need. When he flips the switch and plays hard, he’s unstoppable.

Berkshire School (Homestead, Fla.) - Record: 36-2. 1999-00 Final Ranking: NR -- Add small forward Quemont Greer to a linneup that includes Josh Chambers, Jamal Levy and Edwin Vasquez and you’ve got a hot squad. Now throw Duane John, Canada’s finest athlete not on skates into the mix and you get a Top 10 team.

5. St. Patrick’s (Elizabeth, N.J.) - Record: 25-6. 1999-00 Final Ranking: NR. -- Marcus Austin, Jamie Sowers, Mike Nardi and Sam Lake are back for a squad that won the NJ State Parochial B title last year. 6-10, sophomore transfer Grant Billmeier pushes this squad to the next level.

4. Montrose Christian (Rockville, Md.) - Record: 32-6. 1999-00 Final Ranking: NR. -- Transfers Tony Bethel (17.5 ppg & 4.5 appg) and Harvey Thomas (6-9, 220) join returners Levi Watkins (18 ppg. & 9 rpg.) and Drew Hall (14 ppg. & 6 rpg.) to form a sick first five that is backed by a deep bench.

3. Willowridge (Sugar Land, Texas) - Record: 36-1. 1999-00 Final Ranking: # 2. -- The second coming of “Lethal Weapon 3” iis set to defend the Texas 5-A state title. T.J. Ford (10 ppg. & 9 apg.), Daniel Ewing and Kenny Taylor can’t be punked by anyone and they get after it on D.

2. Mater Dei (Santa Ana, Calif.) – Record: 34-3. 1999-00 Final Ranking: # 9. -- All-American candidates Cedric Bozeman aand Jamaal Sampson are joined by sophomore phenom Harrison Schaen on what could be Cali’s tightest crew.

1. Oak Hill Academy (Mouth of Wilson, Va.) – Record: 30-2. 1999-00 Final Ranking: # 5. -- With Billy Edelin at point, Rashaad Carrruth jacking 3s, 7-foot DeSagna Diop in the middle and junior superstar Mario Boggan at the forward spot, these cats would win the Ivy title right now.
