DUMBLEDORE'S ARMY

Welcome to the DA Everyone!!
I am Harry Potter and am here to teach you how to tackle with Dark creatures. anyway, lets get cracking, then. But, a word of CAUTION: do not stay here too long. Umbridge might be along with her inquisitorial Squad any time now!!

Creature: A boggart is a shape-shifter that "can take the shape of whatever it thinks will frighten us most."

Spell: Riddikulus

What Spell Does: When saying Riddikulus!, the wand bearer must think of something funny about the creature. For example, if Neville thinks of Professor Snape, he thinks of Snape in his grandmother's clothes and handbag.

Creature: A Red Cap is a "nasty little goblinlike creature that lurked wherever there had been bloodshed: in dungeons of castles and the portholes of deserted battlefields, waiting to bludgeon those who had gotten lost."

Creature: Kappas are "creepy water-dwellers that looked like scaly monkeys, with webbed hands itching to strange unwitting waders in their ponds." They are most commonly found in Mongolia, according to Snape.

Creature: Werewolves are VERY DANGEROUS creatures that are humans. The human becomes a werewolf every full moon, and if they bite anyone, the receiver of the bite will become a werewolf, too. Professor Remus Lupin was a werewolf.

Potion: Wolfsbane Potion

Creature: Hinkypunks are one legged creatures that "look as though he were made of wisps of smoke, rather frail and harmless-looking." They "lure travelers into bogs." They are capable of making horrible squelching noises.

Creature: A dementor is a hooded object that guards the cells in Azkaban. A dementor sweeps all of the happiness out of your body, and makes a cold sense come over you.A Dementor wears his hood all the time and lowers it to use their last and most dangerous weapon. Under the hood is a face of some sort except for the fact that it has no eyes - only skin streatchen over blank sockets. it also has a mouth - more of a gaping hole to be precise. It is through this mouth that it uses its worse weapon - it sucks the soul out of a person. a person can live without his soul; as long as his heart and brains are working. But he will have no memories or sense of self. he just exists - as an empty shell.

Spell: Expecto Patronum!

What Spell Does: When saying Expecto Patronum, the wand bearer must think of an extremely happy moment. When the spell is conjured properly, a certain shield comes up between the dementor and the wand bearer.

Creature: A Cornish pixie is a "devilish tricky blighter," in the words of Gilderoy Lockhart. They are electric blue and eight inches in height. They contain pointed faces and noses with very shrill voices.

Spell: Peskipiksi Pesternomi!

What Spell Does: We're not actually sure. When Lockhart fires this spell, nothing takes place and the pixies are not affected.

Creature: A grindylow is a water demon. It has little, sharp horns and has very long and skinny fingers. It has an odd feature of green teeth.

Spell: The spell is to break the grip of the grindylow.
