. . . CATONSVILLE, Md. ? When the Rev. Steven R. Randall learned that his denomination had consented to the first openly homosexual bishop in mainline Protestantism, he decided he could no longer trust the Episcopal Church and its leaders.
. . . Mr. Randall, 52, received a standing ovation yesterday after telling his 200-member congregation at St. Timothy's Episcopal Church here that he would no longer obey his bishop nor would his congregation send its monthly $5,000 pledge to the Episcopal Diocese of Maryland.

[Fill in your name], television producer
Time was, if you wanted to be a television producer, you had to have a script. Then you needed about 27 bazillion dollars worth of equipment, at least a dozen people to run that equipment, and a big building to put it in. How things have changed! Now you need a digital video camera ($500 and up), a computer ($1500 and up), a way to get the video into the computer ($0 to $200), and a program to edit the video ($0 and up). In other words, you could be working on your own video projects for no more than $2000 -- and that's if you have to buy the camera and the computer. For more information, see www.adaptec.com.

Homosexuality, Racism, and the Eclipse of the Gospel
by Russell D. Moore -- Aug 7th, 2003 -- Black Electorate
As the Episcopal Church splinters over the question of homosexual bishops, Episcopalian liberals are telling us that they are the heirs of the civil rights era of 20th century American history. And they are partly right. The gay liberation movement in the mainline churches stands firmly in the tradition of the segregationist churches of the Jim Crow-era South. . . .

Hyundai Chief Commits Suicide
The Associated Press -- SEOUL, South Korea Aug. 4

New Korea Problem: Bribes, Not Bombs
SEOUL, South Korea, Feb. 1, 2003
... (AP) North Korea denied that South Korean President Kim Dae-jung had bribed the communist regime to stage a historic inter-Korean summit in 2000 -- a meeting that helped Kim win the Nobel Peace Prize, a South Korean television station said Saturday....
... The South's outgoing president, Kim Dae-jung, won a Nobel Prize for his efforts to reconcile with North Korean leader Kim Jong-Il. (AP)
... "The North and Hyundai have done business since 1998, and suddenly linking the money to the 2000 summit is a sinister plot." -- Ri Jong Hyok, vice chairman of the North's Korean Asia-Pacific Peace Committee

Ground Broken for Gaeseong Industrial Complex
2003-07-01
... The two Koreas on Monday (June 30) held a ground-breaking ceremony for the Gaeseong Industrial Complex, a major economic cooperation experiment creating a capitalist-style industrial zone in the North for South Korean and foreign firms.
... At 11 a.m. in Gaeseong, located across the Demilitarized Zone only 70 kilometers north of Seoul, some 120 South and 200 North Koreans witnessed the beginning of the construction.
... Kim Jin-ho, president of KOLAND, the South Korean contractor for the project, said in his congratulatory speech that the site will give birth to "common prosperity" for the two Koreas.
... Chung Mong-hun, chairman of Hyundai Asan, the operating firm that pioneered the scheme in 2000, said the idea bore fruit 15 years after his father, the late Hyundai founder Chung Ju-yung, visited North Korea in 1989, becoming the first South Korean businessman to do so....
... Some 900 local companies have shown an interest in Gaeseong, the ancient capital of the 918-1392 Goryeo Dynasty. Under the plan, Hyundai Asan will initially develop 1 million pyong (3.3. million square meters) by 2007, where 300 firms, mostly from the textile and electronics sectors, can move in.

The Demise of Hyundai
by Lee Jun -- February 14, 2003
Chung Mong-hun, the chairman of Hyundai Asan who at best was never very social, is now reluctant to meet with anybody. Chung goes to his office at 7:30am every day, but never emerges before going home, except for lunch. The only person he regularly sees is Kim Yoon-kyu, who reports to him on the progress of North Korea projects, and he rarely makes any appointments in the evening.

Is Hyundai Victim or Beneficiary of NK Projects?
As the veils of under-the-table dealings between Seoul and Pyongyang come off layer after layer, the question is whether middleman Hyundai has been a victim or beneficiary.

CHARGED. PARK JIE WON and LIM DONG WON,
former South Korean government officials, and CHUNG MONG HUN, chairman of Hyundai Asan, with violations in connection with the 2000 summit between the two Koreas; in Seoul. Park (pictured), a top aide to Kim Dae Jung, then South Korea's President, was charged with having abused his authority. Chung and Lim, another Kim aide, were charged with having violated foreign-currency regulations. The Hyundai Group sent $500 million to North Korea months before the historic summit, the first since the Korean War ended in 1953. An investigation found that $100 million of this money was provided by Kim's administration as "politically motivated government aid." The findings cast doubt on the validity of the summit, which won Kim the Nobel Peace Prize, and on South Korea's "Sunshine Policy" of engagement with Pyongyang

DPRK-U.S. direct talks called for
... Pyongyang, March 11 (KCNA) -- The nuclear issue on the Korean Peninsula is not an issue to be solved through multilateral talks but it is quite possible to find a solution to the issue if the DPRK and the U.S. sit face to face for sincere discussion. Rodong Sinmun Tuesday says this in a signed commentary. It goes on:
... The Bush group is insisting on multilateral talks, turning its face from the proposal for DPRK-U.S. direct talks. It asserted that "the nuclear issue is not concerned with the U.S. and North Korea only but an issue affecting Northeast Asia and the whole world."
... The U.S. much publicized multilateral talks are, in essence, aimed to evade its responsibility for authoring the nuclear issue on the Korean Peninsula.

Back to Africa, in General:
Appeal: For African Brothers and Sisters...
by Jean-Pierre Laurent -- June 2003
. . . Dear brothers and sisters
. . . As l do regularly on our list , l am asking anyone of you if he or she would be interrested to help an African blessed family to start a business in
order to survive or even take steps toward a good start in life. l know the situation of many families who dont know what they are going to eat tomorrow; everyday is just a matter of survival. My plan is to find another family
to help them create a small business for them to live on, and hopefully expand.
This is a matter of $200 or $300 -- l do not ask for a long-term support over years; but some money given only once. l am asking--on the other side--for a clear plan of how they want to build up their business.
. . . l know these families personaly, and know also that they are serious and
dedicated brothers and sisters.
. . . If anyone is interested, he or she can contact me privatly; and according to your wish, l can bring you in contact with the other family (email adress) or can be a mediator between both sides.
. . . I am sure it will be a very rich experience spiritualy for both sides and
our world family will come a little closer.
. . . Thanks in advance.

New Historicism Explained

Manifest destiny was originally a religious notion:
it was invoked right at the beginning perhaps even before colonisation had begun. The first charter of Virginia, a 1606 royal document, was granted before the first settlement in 1607. It defined the conditions of settlement, established the sovereignty of the crown, outlined the state of the settlers and the exploitation of the wealth of Virginia. However expansionist motives and the economic preoccupations were contained in the charter's hidden language stressing that colonisation was part of a divine plan to bring light to "savages and infidels", to propagate "the Christian religion to such people as yet live in darkness" and to bring them "human civility and a settled and quiet government." In fact the main ingredients of the concept of Manifest Destiny were already present in this document: a sense of a political mission, "a settled and quiet government" and the idea that colonisation is meant to teach "savages" the rudiments of civilisation.

Introduction to Christian Identity
Christian Identity is a name given to a complex, highly varied, and not well-organized movement. The most fundamental teaching pivots on the idea that Anglo-Saxons, are the direct descendants of the Ten Lost Tribes of Israel and, thus, are the "true choosen people" of God.

THE CEREMONY OF THE DECLARATION OF GOD'S ETERNAL BLESSING
The Meaning of July 1, 1991 -- Seoul, Korea
. . . You must think about the position from which the original nature of heaven entered this world. Centering on the original nature, before that standard, the realm of Israel on the individual, family, tribal, racial and national level has been established. How anxious must Jacob have been until the moment he won over the archangel at the Ford of Jabbok and received the blessing of Heaven? You cannot imagine how amazing the moment was when the name of Israel was proclaimed on earth.
. . . You are not to defile the name of Israel. Not only the name of Israel, you are not to defile the lineage of Israel. The Israelite people did defile the lineage, and Christianity emerged as a clan centering on Jesus, but debased itself. Christianity, which was centered on Jesus as the king and parent representing Israel, was defiled.

Words of Wisdom -- Let it be...
Deuteronomy 9
[1] Hear, O Israel: Thou art to pass over Jordan this day, to go in to possess nations greater and mightier than thyself, cities great and fenced up to heaven,
[2] A people great and tall, the children of the Anakims, whom thou knowest, and of whom thou hast heard say, Who can stand before the children of Anak!
[3] Understand therefore this day, that the LORD thy God is he which goeth over before thee; as a consuming fire he shall destroy them, and he shall bring them down before thy face: so shalt thou drive them out, and destroy them quickly, as the LORD hath said unto thee.
[4] Speak not thou in thine heart, after that the LORD thy God hath cast them out from before thee, saying, For my righteousness the LORD hath brought me in to possess this land: but for the wickedness of these nations the LORD doth drive them out from before thee.
[5] Not for thy righteousness, or for the uprightness of thine heart, dost thou go to possess their land: but for the wickedness of these nations the LORD thy God doth drive them out from before thee, and that he may perform the word which the LORD sware unto thy fathers, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
[6] Understand therefore, that the LORD thy God giveth thee not this good land to possess it for thy righteousness; for thou art a stiffnecked people.
Levitcus 18
[3] After the doings of the land of Egypt, wherein ye dwelt, shall ye not do: and after the doings of the land of Canaan, whither I bring you, shall ye not do: neither shall ye walk in their ordinances.
[25] And the land is defiled: therefore I do visit the iniquity thereof upon it, and the land itself vomiteth out her inhabitants.
[27] (For all these abominations have the men of the land done, which were before you, and the land is defiled;)
[28] That the land spue not you out also, when ye defile it, as it spued out the nations that were before you.
4 Ezra 1
[28] Thus saith the Almighty Lord, Have I not prayed you as a father his sons, as a mother her daughters, and a nurse her young babes,
[29] That ye would be my people, and I should be your God; that ye would be my children, and I should be your father?
[35] Your houses will I give to a people that shall come; which not having heard of me yet shall believe me; to whom I have shewed no signs, yet they shall do that I have commanded them.
