| Dicky: I remember when I was little, when my parents separated, I was still in school. When my mom lost her job, I had to work, singing, to support my two little brothers. It was my duty as a big brother to help the family. I had a friend who introduced me to a job singing at a lounge. Host 2: Let's see what your friend has to say. William So: (in a video clip) If I had to describe Dicky's life, it would be "sad and difficult." His typical day would be acting from 9AM-5PM and then he will have to take the train after work to sing in China. There will be days when it's cold and he only has a thin raincoat to wear. He would feel so lonely standing in the train station that he would want to cry. Host 1: Have you ever cried? Dicky: Yes, when I broke up with my first girlfriend. We dated for 5 years, but I still didn't have money saved up. All the money I had, I sent to my little brother who was studying in Canada. Every three months I had to pay his tuition. Luckily, my agent was able to give me pay in advance (for his singing shows), so I can pay the tuition. My girlfriend wanted someone who had a "future" and I couldn't provide that for her at the time, so we broke up. Host 2: How sad and tragic! Host 1: Well, what finally brought you to popularity? Was the TVB series "Lo Yau Gwai Gwai" you acted pretty good, especially in the crying scenes, it liiked so real! Dicky: You think so? It comes natural to me.... Host 2: We have someone who would like to comment about yur crying scenes. Let's see who it is! Nicky Wu: Dicky is really good at doing crying scenes, but I feel sad for the actress who has to be paired up with Dicky during these scenes. There's a saying that 'when you cry, you hear sobs and see tears,' but for Dicky, it's his "runny nose and tears." It's funny to see him holding onto the actress tightly crying with a runny nose and tears spilling down his face. The reason why I say that Dicky is good at crying scenes is because it's hard to fake a runny nose. the poor actress has to deal with Dicky wiping "his mess" all over her face. Thank god I'm not a girl! Dicky: (laughs) Host 2: I've always noticed that Dicky's eyes has this certain power to attract woman. What do you think? Dicky: I'm not sure.... Host 2: Well, let's see what your friend say! Wong Wan Sim: (laughs) Dicky's eyes is powerful and can kill you if you're not careful. Have you ever noticed how big and reflective his eyes are? I remember one time, during dinner at a restaurant, he kindly asked the waitress with a soft voice and that certain look "Excuse me Miss, but may I have a glass of water?" The waitress was speechless and I had goosebumps just hearing and seeing this! Host 2: I was wondering if you can give the audience a demonstration? I'll be the waitress..."Can I get you anything sir?" Dicky: (which eyes shining and speaking softly) Yes, may I please have a glass of water? The audience laughs and the lady host looks like she's going to faint! Dicky: Honestly, I don't intentionally use my "eye power." It so happen that I was new in Taiwan and didn't know anyone. I wanted to give a good impression to everyone, so I was extra nice to people. Host 2: Next topic! We want to ask you what do you think your friends would say about your personality? Dicky: My friends? Host 1: Yes! Dicky: My friends would describe me as a person who's willing to help others. If someone needed me, I would not hesitate to go out of my way to help them. Host 2: Ok, let's see what your friends have to say! Sammi Cheng: Dicky is a very STRANGE person... Andy Hui: Dicky always encounter two types of people. The first category would be people who like him very much. The second category would be people who hate him very much. If you ask me, I fall in the second category! |
