The stage is set for the ingaual HPT Championships to kick off tomorrow, with both the of the ingaural winners Milky (inagural event) 4th seed and Nikita (Phillip Is.) 1st seed in the friday group with 5th seed Aaron as well as the Wild Card seed Skinny who is a new comer as is Rhys, and Tom round out the first table.

The saturday table consists of 2nd seed Jason who was top for 7 rounds before being over thrown by Nikita, and has only not been top twice out of the possible 9 times both times being 2nd. 3rd seed Kyle, 6th seed Danijel and 7th seed Archie are the top in this group but Glenn, and new comers Nick and Christian are going to be having something to say about that.

Group 2 is seen as the easier group by many but do have one more person. The most likely up sets will come from Rhys and Glenn in there respective groups with the lack of the experience likely to be the main problem for the other 3 challengers.

With the top 7 players on the HPT rankings playing this could lead to a very interesting results. This is also the last event of 2005 and will have a major effect on who the 2005 Home Poker Tour Champion is. There is nothing to lose as if any of the top 7 seeds fail to make there final there rankings will not be affected. Only Jason and Nikita can top the table, but that would require Nikita to finish 7th or 8th and Jason to win.

So everything is set for an entertaining competition.

COMPETITON SYSTEM	27/11/05
There will be 2 qualifying tables with up to 8 on each, which allows for 16 players, the top 4 from each table make it through to the final. There will be 8 seeds 4 on each table, the rest of the positions will be randomly decided. In the qulaifying everyone will start with the same total chip value, and there chips at the end of the qulaifying will be brought into the final, if in the event that 1 table has more players than the other than rule 5.1 will apply.
