The server is the server is now up! Apparently private servers accross the world all went down last night for some unknown reason because of an error with the server system clock time. At least now I know how to fix this if it happens again. Everyone go enjoy your characters!!

The server is currently down. I haven't the slightest clue what's happening. The character server and the map server no longer connect. This seems to be happening to many other servers starting last night, so I don't know what the deal is. I will get the server up and running asap. For the time being it's 5am Sunday Morning and I'm going to bed.

I've added a few new items and descriptions. Unzip THIS into your data folder. If you are getting client errors it's probably because you need that file. I've also added the final bonuses for overupgrading of weapons. Books, and wands are still pending tho. Hope to see everyone at WoE today, 11pm-midnight.

I've decided to move the weekend WoE time back to Saturday. It will remain at 11pm-12(midnight). This seems to be the most requested time on the forum. If you don't like the time, maybe you should check in on the forum more often. I've also picked the winners of the loading screen contest. Unzip THIS into your data folder. The winners should check the forum for their rewards.

Mvp's have gotten a boost today. Some were rather lacking in hitpoints and defense. I know you all love killing eddga in sub 30 seconds but where's the challenge? ^^ Also note that war of emperium has been rescheduled for Sunday night at 11pm-12(midnight). There's a post on the forum about it that has been up for a few days now. I hope to see everyone there Sunday night! There's also a new guide on upgrading equipment if you haven't already checked that out. I've also changed the drops of slotted shoes, boots, guards, bucklers, shields, saints robes, and circlets to 0.16% (for most monsters that drop them).

The new event has started today. Also, the long anticipated clothing dyer npc has been implemented! The name of the NPC is Lin and she's in the middle room of the building in SW prontera. To be able to view the new clothing dyes, you need to download this and unzip it into your data folder.

Alot of things have happened recently. I am now employed!! Hurray. I'm also working on implementing a whole assortment of goodies for you, so check the forum for announcements on new things. The next hunting event will be starting tomorrow. You can get all the info you need from here. Also, all my patch links have been mysteriously been cut off by geocities. So you'll need to go check out this page for how to get these very important patches. I'm looking for a webhosting service and if anyone knows a reliable one, please let me know on the forums.

ClassicRO's first War of Emperium battle was a HUGE SUCCESS. I had a lot of fun, and I hope you did too! RO Elites managed to hold out their defense for a full hour of non-stop fighting right in the emperium room! Congratulations. We also had a record attendence of 12 players for last night's WoE. I am looking forward to the next one on Thursday. I hope to see you all there!!

Well I had some problems with the server update... including the item database being corrupted. But that's all fixed now. I've already gotten alot of complaints about night! The terrible blind effect is being replaced. Unzip this into your data folder. Now you will get a real night effect!

The server update is for the most part finished. There's still some new things I'm working on which will be added very soon. I've got a list of the new features of the upcoming server update. Go here to get a heads up on the new update. Of particular importance is the change to the reset girl. Btw, now is the best time to post suggestions in the forum because I'll be implementing new stuff now. Also, I'm going to reset the guild castles and close down all but prontera's until the server is bigger.

A server update is in the works. Expect that within the next few days. I also have a goody for the alchemists. I know I said I would do this a while ago, but Create Potion now only costs 1 SP. I know this will make some of you very happy. We have a new forum for posting suggestions, so take a look at that. And everyone who hasn't already should check my guides under game mechanics. I'll be writing more from time to time. Expect some new ones after the server update.

There has been lots of news the last couple of days. I've just been a little slow to post things. So here is the recap! We had a record number of players monday with 9! people on at once. Now that we have the new exe, you can all visit the new town Einbroch and it's dungeon in Einbech! The warp kafra has been updated for these and now includes 10 new warp locations! Since I know that if it's not on the warp kafra, no one goes there /swt. I've also updated the Custom items Recycling Pack and Bottany Shears info. Check that out, they are now huntable! I've also made some changes to the monk weapons. Fist now has 125 atk power, Claw has 100 atk, and Fingers has 85 atk and an extra slot! Download this and put it in your Data Folder. I've also been getting new submissions for the loading screen event. Keep them coming! I've also changed some spawns in Glast hiem sewers so that players looking for a new place to hunt will find it here! There's going to a be a new kind of hunting event that will last until Monday. I've made some progress on updating the map but it's going very slow. All the ones I've labeled are correct in relation to yuno_fild01. There's a big ass castle in the middle of one of the yuno fields. I wonder if this will eventually become a dungeon? /gg. Lets hope so.

Here's another goody for you today. I've got a new exe that will let you view all the new einbroch maps and let u finally see the level 99 aura. Oh man is it sweet!! Download the exe here and unzip the contents into your RO folder. This should overwrite your previous ClassicRO.exe if you have one of the same name.Also, just a minor fix. Put this in your data folder(use right-click and select Save AS). If you have any problems, post on the forum.

I've finally gone back through the item descriptions and fixed all the new card descriptions. I've also fixed alot of the weapons/items that I've modified such as Elemental Katars. Download the file here by right clicking and selecting Save As. Put this file in your data folder. It should overwrite an older version of the same file. If you have any problems, post it on the forum. Also I removed the 3 Penomenas and the Neraid from beach_dun03. They had no business being there in the first place!

I know some of you have known about this for a while, but this is the official announcement of the ClassicRO Loading Screen Event. Details about the event can be found in the forum or here. This event will probably last about a month or so, so don't feel rushed. I hope everyone has fun with this! There will be lots of awards for participation.

So the server is now back up. The reason you can't connect to it is that you need a new connection file with the new ip (the one to my comp at home). You can get the connection file here >>sclientinfo.xml<< Right click and select save as. Download this connection file and put it into your data folder. If you have any problems post them on the forums.

The new server update is here. Make sure to check out the new cards, mvps, and mini-bosses. If you see any bugs post them on the forum. Also, I've decided to have the server go public AFTER exams, as opposed to just before. Also, I'll be getting a new exe file for everyone in the very near future so that you may all enjoy the new towns and dungeons without client errors!
