The Historic of Palestine.
The historic Palestine was once a land stretching from the Mediterranean coast east across the Jordan River, and from the Gulf of Aqaba north beyond the Sea of Galilee (Lebanon.) The history of Palestine is one of immense richness; it was host to numerous prophets over the centuries and the home of many great civilizations. The name Palestine originated from the Greek word pronounced Palaistina, which is derived from the Hebrew word pronounced pel-eh-sheth and in Arabic it pronounced Falasteen.
Who are Palestinains and their background? In history both old and recent history, the Palestinians are not only the Arab speaking people of today, but are the descendants of those nine Canaanites tribes. Palestinians are also the descendants of the whole mix of civilized and cultured folk of the land of Canaan. Yes, they are originally, are a Semitic people who continuously inhabited Palestine. As a result of historical developments, the Palestinian people became an amalgam of all races, peoples and cultures for which Palestine, for over 5,000 years of recorded history, has been their habitation and their melting pot. They comprise the Canaanites, the Philistines, the Phoenicians, the Nabateans, the Syriacs, the Aramaics, the Greeks and the Romans. The term Palestinians was giving it to the People in the land of Canaan by the British, Romans, Arabs, Byzantine, Crusader, Persian, and Turkish Empire.
What is this conflict about? For over fifty years, the core of the struggle between Palestinians and (Zionisms) Jewish immigrants was and still in this land. The incessant aim of Zionism is to seize the land and get rid of its owners in order to realize the myth of "a land without people". The success of this aim is evidenced today by the existence of some 5 million Palestinian refugees dispersed from their homeland, which is now occupied by Jewish immigrants.
What is the different between original Israel and the modern Israel? So-called Israel of today is nothing compares Israel of the Bible. The ancient Israel was Palestinians ancient name back thousand of years ago and was not a "Jewish state," but was a secular state made up of many peoples and religions, and the majority of the population followed the Canaanite religions.
Jewish State? Why do we need a Jewish state in Palestine? Palestine is considering Abrahamic state for all those who believe in God of Abraham (Jew, Christianity, and Islam.) But immigrated Jews from outside of Middle East to Palestine cannot consider as a nation, they speak dozens of languages. Most of them cannot speak Hebrew. They have more then thousands of nationalities. They are different groups of people with only one thing in common, theirs religion. On the other hand, the Palestinians speak Arabic. The majority are Muslims, Christians and Arab-Jews all have a single history for more then 1400 years and all have the same traditions and culture in the land of Canaan. |
