Partnership with Parents

Parents are the most important people in a child's life. They are the child's first teachers, they know more about their child than anyone else, and they have watched and cared for their child from their first day of life. We understand how vital it is that our staff establishes and maintainsa strong links with parents. In order to build such a partnership, we;
Consult with each other to plan routines and activities based around your child's needs

Give you regular feedback; both formal and informal

Keep daily records of your child's activities and share them with you

Give your child a gentle introduction to nursery and pre-school, suggesting that you stay until your child is settled and secure

Provide information to you on health issues, behaviour management, toilet training, weaning or any other topical issues

Post weekly menus on our parental notice board and discuss at registration if your child has any special dietary requirements

We invite nominations for parental representation on our Board of Management.

Babies
Our most important aim in the Creche is to produce happy, secure, confident children with enquiring minds. Every baby within our nursery unit will have the opportunity to;

1. Play as a happy member of a group in a secure and exciting environment

2. Talk and listen to adults and children

3. Become self confident and have a good self image

4. Build upon strengths, looking at what s/he can do

5. Experience the world through his/her senses
