The downfall of bringing great bands on tour is being outdone by the support, we (rightfully) feared this might be the case tonight with Electric Six and Detroit City Council.  Having seen E6 play at the tiny Barfly in February the sheer size of the QMU seems daunting, we should have known if any of the new Detroit bands can fill a cavernous venue like this that Electric Six could.  Fresh from a top 3 UK hit, E6 are back on British ground, full of confidence whipping the crowd into a frenzy with their humour tinged disco infused rock.

This is certainly a band who put their heart and soul into a show. The set is sixteen songs long, each song practically forcing the audience to have a good time.  Set highlights come the form of upcoming single, 'Gay Bar', 'Improper Dancing' complete with the kind of dancing that inspired said song from Dick Valentine, and of couse, the track we suspect most of the crowd are here to see, 'Danger! High Voltage', which despite the absensece of 'John S O'Leary' still sets the crowd alight.  Encore, and live 'favourite' see E6 make the seemingly impossible a reality...
EWO enjoy a Queen song, with their cover of 'Radio Ga Ga'.

Although this gig wasn't quite as 'electric' as last time they visited Glasgow, it was by no means disappointing, and with closer 'I'm A Demon', everyones in agreement that we do indeed 'love rock'n'roll'.
