Second Grade History
George Washington Carver Lesson
We will be studying about the life of George Washington Carver, scientist and inventor.  He found many wonderful uses of peanuts and sweet potatoes.  This was especially beneficial to southern farmers in the 1900's due to the devastation of the cotton crop by boll weevils and soil deprivation.
