Craig and Patrick met at 15 years old when they were both working in McDonalds. They hooked up with David Oliffe who played drums. They named the band 'The Vines' after Craig's father's band in the 60's 'The Vynes'. They were signed in 2001 by Andy Slater of Capitol Records. Soon after David left the band and Hamish and Ryan (Craig's best friend) joined. They started writing the debut album 'Highly Evolved', several thousands of this album were sold and still counting. Since the band started they have toured the world, played main stage slots at several festivals and aired on many tv and radio shows.
