Hannah is 23 months old now. Just 1 more month and she'll be two! I can't believe it. "da dah dah dah Igor da da dah dah bubushka dah dah dha" is Hannah's typical way to say a sentence. Its pretty cute and most of the time we can get what she is trying to say. Sharing toys is her biggest challenge right now. She also just learned to put her boots on all by herself and is working on dressing herself. She went poop in the potty last week for the first time too!! She was so proud of herself! So were we! Lib (lid) holg it (hold it) nifsen (sniffing) and lintens (lint) are some of her quircky words these days. :) She is also learning to say please, thank you and your welcome. Whenever we have to tell her no or take something away she always responds with a thank you. I think its because we say that to her when she gives whatever she has to us. I always have to laugh! Hannah did the cutest thing a couple weeks ago. She was "talking" with Heather and said "Mommy latte, Hannah hot chocolate, Heather booby" She also likes to sing Rock-A-Bye to Heather and playing peek a boo with her.
Heather is now 4 months old. SHe is getting so big. She has doubled her birth weight and is now 14lbs 2oz, and is 24 inches long. Yikes! Smiling, laughing and giggling is what she is doing a lot of these days! She rolled over from front to back once so far a couple weeks ago and can pretty much roll from back to front, but usually her arm is in the way! Heather loves to grab and suck on toys now too. She got mad the other night when her rattle fell on the floor. I couldn't believe it! Heather continues to be a great baby - very laid back. She enjoys watching her big sister play. She is very strong and can hold her head up very well. She loves to look in the mirror, play under the gymini, grab and play with rings, her octopus, funky chicken, and many other toys.
We all went on a trip to Utah last week. Both girls traveled very well in the airplane. Hannah has some stranger anxiety and is turning out to be quite shy. It takes her awhile to warm up to new situations and people. So it was quite stressful for her at times. Heather was so laid back. I don't think she cared where she was really! Its amazing how different their personalities are. I remember Hannah getting upset when traveling at 4 months. Heather is a very good car traveler and is happy to play with toys in her carseat. |
