Ok, so it took me forever to post pictures of Jesse and Kaitlyn on my website.  Sorry for that!  I finally got the flyer scanned so I could post it here for you all to see.  Sunshine was featured in an article for the Akron General Medical Center publication called Your Health in winter 2005, regarding her difficult pregnancy with Kaitlyn.  Kaitlyn is like a miracle child.  Sunshine went through so much during her pregnancy, with 6 umbilical cord blood transfusions (PUBBS - means Percutaneous Umbilical Cord Blood Sampling).  Kaitlyn was born just before 32 weeks and had several blood transfusions afterwards.  She continued to be anemic for several months after her birth and was diagnosed with having Parvo virus which eats red blood cells (I think that's right).  It really gave Sunshine and Scott a scare because it just complicated the whole RH matter long after it should have been resolved and and she should have been making blood on her own and not losing it.  Once she recovered from that, they had to address the hemangioma covering her eye.  A complicated but succesful sugery got rid of that (along with steroid treatments)  and she is now a beautiful, thriving, happy baby!!!!  Who loves candy too just like her mom.  :)  She's 13 months now in the picture below.  Still tiny (17 lbs) but growing fast!  Jesse is 6 in May - yikes! Such a cute boy, and a really sweet big brother.  I can't wait to see Jesse again and meet my niece Kaitlyn sometime this year.
