I can't believe Hannah will be 3 in just 6 days. She has been planning her party for months now, and the details never change. She knows exactly what she wants! So, this week I'll be putting it all together, with a green bday cake with a Bob candle on top along with scoop, muck, dizzy and lofty. She'll also have chocolate pumpkins on her cake - she insists on it! It is a good thing I can do those myself, since I have the chocolate molds. She has also made it very clear as to what she wants for her birthday. A bicycle (she's getting a trike), and a vaccum (her aunt Melody offered that one). She did want a digital camera too, but luckily she forgot about it after she recieved several plastic camera toys from Ruby's restaraunt. (thank you Ruby's!) Hannah is happy, singing all kinds of made up songs. She'll say to me "mommy, sing the doggy song with me." I'll ask her how it goes. She'll proceed to keep her mouth shut except to tell me to sing the doggy song. I'll make up something and she'll say "no, that's not it" until finally she'll agree on one and sing it with me.
"Kiss me!!" Actually Heather has been doing less of these lately and will now give geniune little kisses complete with the smack, although usually after the fact. Sooo cute! She wants kisses and hugs all the time. I don't know if it is because I have been disciplining Hannah more now that she is in her "terrrible 3's" and needs extra loving or what. But I'll take it. Heather's teeth are finally coming in. She has 3 molars, one almost in, and a tooth next to her front top right tooth. Her little gummys are still sore looking, but not nearly as bad as when the molars were coming in. Heather is trying to run now and chase Hannah or whomever. She loves it when I kiss her tummy or neck. She is so ticklish and just laughs and giggles. She can feed herself quite well with a spoon. Even milk from the cereal bowl without spilling it! She isn't saying many words yet but is trying really hard. Usually sounds like baby sentences. "that that that" is (still) her favorite word right now. I get "why" from Hannah and "that" from Heather all day every day right now. Heather will get all upset if I don't get what she is pointing at though and yell this horrible "thhaaaaat" until I figure it out. She shakes her whole body from side to side telling me no too. One of these days I am going to drop her wiggly butt! LOL I hope not.
One of the RARE moments when I got the two to sit together facing forward and actually smile!
Pictures from our San Diego Vacation this month. We had so much fun! Hannah and Heather are both great traveler's! I was amazed at how well they were doing the day we arrived after being up since 6:30 am, and not getting to our hotel room until after 4pm. We had a nice time swimming in the heated pool at the hotel and our room was very nice and comfortable. Totally worth the extra $$ to get a bigger room. We went to Sea World, Mission Beach, and the Wild Animal Park. We swam just about every day too. I am sad that it is over and missing the nice warm weather. Here I am freezing again wishing it were summer already! I keep wondering if all the summer clothes I bought the kids are going to be wasted. I sure hope not! Or we may just have to move back to Cali. No, I don't think so! ;)
Hannah had her mind set on getting cotton candy at Sea World. Normally this would be a big no no, but we thought what the heck. We're on vacation right? She was the happiest little girl you could ever see. The thing was practically bigger than her! And ewwww. It was yucky! Pure sugar.
Check out this enormous kelp!! We were all impressed!
Hannah and Daddy had a great time hanging out in the ocean. I don't know why we didn't wear our bathing suits. It was sooo warm. And the sand was so soft.
Heather getting her feet wet. It took her a second to get used to it. Once she did she just kept running right after the receding waves.
Our two cuties at the beach -- won't look at the camera!
They had an amusement park at Mission Beach. It was practically empty. Heather had her first amusement park ride on the carousel and then the girls both went on the boats.
Mommy, pick me up please!
Trying to "catch" a duck at the Wild Animal park. Hannah kept saying she was going to catch a bird or duck wherever we went.
Fun in the swimming pool! Heather loved the water too, but I never got a picture of her in it as we were all in there together.
