HelpOnDemand
About Us:
HelpOnDemand was a non-profit non-organizational style project founded on May 11, 2007 and created by two high school teenagers. The mission was to simply help all who had access to the internet, no matter the topic, event, matter, etc. Visitors were able to register and seek help from people classified as "specialists". These people were often the professionals of whatever category the person chose to get help in. As a couple of months went on, numerous features became added, including this website which was released to the public on August 9, 2007. HOD also provided help through alternate ways due to the possiblity of the alternate ways being faster and more "1-on-1" with the visitors. On July 24, 2008, HOD decided to completely get rid of the chatroom system as a whole and instead a instant messenger based system was implimented, which allowed the fastest possible way to interact with the "specialists".
The project began to fail when HOD's Administrators noticed a major loss of website traffic, which was first noticed in January 2008, after HOD decided to upgrade their systems. On October 30, 2008, HOD officially closed the forum's doors due to inactivity from its registered users and lack of visitors.
November 25, 2008, HOD officially shuts down.
